Fortunately for Roeper Marisa Tomei would gain recognition that next year for In The Bedroom

Shrek was originally suppose to be voiced by Chris Farley but he died early in production Wonder what would of happened if he lived to do the voice 🤔

Wow I can't believed they loved all five! I wasn't sure they'd like The Man Who Cried given how underrated the film is and the way Christina Ricci get a mixed reputation on her casting. 2001 did unleash a bunch of greats anyway almost throughout the year.

After hearing Ebert answer his Movie Answer Man question, I suddenly realized which side of the fence he would be on in our current political climate. I guess it really doesn't matter anymore, though, does it?

Seems like everyone today thinks everything is offensive and should be "cancelled".

He was liberal, but he was also smart. I bet he wouldn't have gone along with certain aspects of the current left.

@@musicman76enator cancel culture isn’t a real thing. And Ebert was right about the old cartoons being blatantly racist.
Frankly I’m surprised that people didn’t seem to know what his political leanings were until now lol

@@billscannell93he would’ve taken his cancellation like a good boy OR would’ve been classical liberal like Richard Dreyfuss

Moulin Rouge is one of the best movie musicals ever. I loved it when I saw it. It's just brilliant. It should have won Best Picture.

Oh brother, Ebert was woke before the world was going woke.
    What a shame.

It was always in disguise. It was always meant to get to a fever pitch, ruling people’s lives, forever changing goalposts.
