    Still have my JBird X3s. $89 at Best Buy. Best headphones for running I’ve ever owned.
    They can be tuned with the equalizer app. Great base no distortion. The X4s are out now.

      Do they have ear loops?

      kofuzi
      It’s more like wings that fit right outside ear canal.
      They fit well. And don’t come off when running
      The companion app is we’re it’s at. They can be tuned to however you like.
      I’ve been running for 10 years and I have tried a lot of headphones. Hands-down these are the best I’ve ever had.
      The X4 came out last Fall. Best Buy routinely has them on sale around $100.

      Nice thing about X3 is the cable management over ears, behind the head. Once configured they are snug. Sound great. X4, Tarah pro moved away from this. Jaybird run are arguably more similar to powerbeats pro being truly wireless. Good problems for runners (good choices out there).

    Agree on the point you make about how useful the rocker volume button is. That’s the reason why I sent back my Jaybird Vista - pressing and holding the button into my sweaty ear to change volume while running felt damn awkward. These are also lower profile and have better weight distribution so you don’t notice them.

    I use a Sony NWZ-WS615 (they have a newer version now). It costs 150 bucks but it is worthy. It's waterproof, has been with me in several marathons, sounds great, has buttons and it also has a bluetooth remote control that is really helpful to run fast without losing time changing the songs.

    Been waiting for your first impressions for the Powerbeats Pro! I should have purchased mine for pre-order. Damn. I have to wait until June for mine to arrive LOL! They look real good though - and comfortable. Really glad that they dont stick out as much as others have, for other models. I had an issue with the original Powerbeats in that they stuck out a bit much. I heard about the buttons on both sides! Really glad that they're pressable. Love them for the gym and running but not really impressed with the sound. Not sure if it’s just mine but I can barely hear it if the volume is 50 percent or lower. I find I listen to them at full or close to full volume, and still sometimes would like it a little louder. And I’ve had a couple beats headphones before and they both had better bass. But these are smaller so I would guess that’s okay.

      This is my thoughts too... I ended up with JBLs made for swimming... so far they’ve worked but when sweat gets into my ears after about 4 miles... the noise of the bud starting to jiggle in and out is horrible... then the sound goes on the bud if the speaker itself gets wet... until I pull it out and blow in it to clear it... super annoying while running... have had them for 5 months... but at least they have not died from my sweat.... yet....

    • @JasonTreu

    These look really good. I've been using the Jaybird Freedom for the last couple months, butt he wire can actually be more annoying than you'd think and they don't stay in as well as I'd like, despite the wing. These probably stay in a lot better than the Run XT that Jaybird makes.

    • @slodogg
      @slodogg 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      kofuzi 2 years. The earbuds still worked as the power button was on the earpiece. I just couldn’t skip tracks or change volume haha.
      That quickly got old so I grabbed some Jaybird earbuds on Black Friday special for like $15. Still on those but I constantly have to readjust them to stay in my ears.
      I’m one of the 5% who regular earbuds / air pods don’t stay in for. The Beats were great just didn’t think $200 every 2 years was a fair deal. Hopeful these are better and willing to give them a try again.

    Thanks for the review! I don‘t own AirPods but have been using the BeatsX for almost two years now though I have increasingly grown tired of the neckband. I expect the Powerbeats Pro to be superior in almost all aspects, but what is your take on the sound quality regarding spoken content (Podcasts, Audibooks; which I listen to while running)? Additionally I am curious about the longtime comfort of the triple-combo of sunglasses + cap + Powerbeats Pro. You mentioned that you felt the latter after about an hour. Do you think it is comfortable to use them that way for >2h?

    I'm interested in durability and claimed sweat/water resistance. I have lost powerbeats 2 and 3 to moderate sweating during runs, 3 was almost new. It's a shame because the sound quality and fit are great but they are expensive. I fear that they haven't fixed those issues, that it's just true wireless for 100$ extra cost because hey, it's Apple and they can get away with it. Keep us updated on how long they will last! If they survive for one year, I'll think about it.

    I'm just tired of buying all kind of earbuds from any companies. I have been running without music for a couple of days now since mine stopped charging. The thing is, now that I think about it, I appreciate no music runs for two main reasons: First, I can hear my strides and it gives me some motivation and cool rhythm. Second, I have more control over my pace rather than music would affect my pace. Something to think about is to carry the buds for a run but use it whenever it's necessary.

      Pegasus 35. Background: older runner, started running again 10 months ago after a decade-long break. Strong feelings against Nike due to their marketing in other sports. Tried other shoes. I reluctantly love the Pegasus and the Pegasus Turbo. The Pegasus 35 is a very good shoe while running, and oddly, I feel better the day AFTER a run in the Pegasus 35 than I do the day after running in anything else. The Turbo is a fantastic all-around shoe at a higher price-point. The name is off - it should be the Pegasus Premium, or Plus, or something that indicates an upgraded version rather than a racing version. The Turbo is comfortable on recovery runs, light and fast on fast runs, has the energy return for long runs...if it's off the track and on the road, the Turbo can do it.

    Great review I’ve been thinking about picking these up, I have my second set of power beats (current version) that I use daily that I am waiting to break again these would be a great replacement.

    • @kofuzi

      How long have your previous and current Powerbeats lasted you?

    • @ravensofend
      @ravensofend 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      kofuzi current ones six months. Previously they lasted eight months I think. The issue is the volume button on the cord it’s not water proof at all, any moisture gets in and they fail. This includes humid weather, sweat, and rain.

    Please go back to using the hero 7. I really like you running scenes but since you switched to the new camera the experience of watching your running scenes aren't very enjoyable due the distortion, it's not like how it use to be. As though you are taking us along your run. Phillip De Franco has a good video kind of like the experience of the ne camera. It talks about hologram concert experiences.
