Digging on the farm with a Hitachi UH063

Today, other than getting his truck unstuck from the field, Daniel is clearing the dykes and drainage systems on the fields ready for when they are needed for irrigation, maintenance is important on the farm and can be time consuming!
Apologies for the wind noise by the way!
Good job for the trusty Hitachi which we still don't know how old it is, but it works great and does the job we need it to.
We unfortunately could use the go pro in todays footage as it was in need of an update, sorted now though ready for the next video.

It think it's an 86 or 87 machine. I had many a happy winter sat on that machine before you bought it from Cambridge machinery sales. It's an ex G's machine. The only down side was the tracking speed.

Do you incorporate the reeds where they are or pick them up?

We incorporate them, disc them then subsoiler then plough them, so they all go back into the land :)
