You always fill my heart with pride, because you demonstrate by your actions, what a true Guyanese is and should be. You love Guyana so much, and I could tell that you see all Guyanese as your brothers and sisters. Your love shows every time you’re out there, I love you and your family and as I’ve said before, I feel that you all, are my family too. Keep that love and hope in your heart , and you will do wonders for our country one person at a time. Glad to see everyone on the trip. I actually got to see the guest house that we stayed in from the drone. Thank you for everything. Love always 💗

This bring tears to my eyes man, Big up Kadir family third ave n seventh ave
I remember the steamer use to slowdown n people with smaller boat or canoes pull up long side the boat n the men offload their cargos for the people that live long side the river

Hi Danny, its nice of you to visit Bartica and show the world what a Gold rush town it was in 40's thru the 70's.Now its all updated
and beautiful. I visited there quite a few times thru the trail from Sherima Crossing at Roickstone during my fishing and hunting trips.
Phillp should know this area where all the pork knockers travel tru from the Bush to spend their hard earned money during the week
ends. Workers were mostly paid in gold then There used to be a huge Dutch Clock at the entrance of the stelling and where the street
starts into the Town. Maybe they took it down and replace it with that monument. Please make that monument
better. How enhanced the place looks now from the 70's. The market is great too. Going there when its Regatta must be exciting.
Love the scenery. Awaiting your next video.Hey, there used to be a BATA shoe store on the left hand corner before the market. They
used to sell a lot of buckman Clarke's shoes in those days for two dollars a pair.It was the popular wear at the time. Now, those same
shoes is fifty to seventy US dollar per pair. Then Maikoo's Bar & Hotel was the favorite place for Skitle, Pools, drinks etc.

My parents are from Guyana. I was born and raised in England. My siblings were born in Guyana. I’ve never been there. I feel no connection to it. I found out today that my eldest sister was born in Bartica (1952). I decided to watch this video. I’m grateful for all the work the poster has put into the creation of this video. It’s got me curious. Perhaps it’s time for me to explore my roots.

wow so glad to see you made it to bartica. My grandmother migrated from St lucia and went to bartica to look for a better life. In bartica there is alot of St lucian The local guyanese call them PALA WALA. I am assuming because they did understand their language. They spoke CREOLE a form of broken French. Surprisingly in the 80 alot of guyanese of St lucian heritage migrated back to St Lucia in search of a better life . CIRCLE OF LIFE . However they were not welcome with open arms, including my self, even thought I was the granddaughter of a St Lucian. Thanks again for all you do.🙏🏿❤🇬🇾.
