As a neutral watching this game it was a real treat. Waldron and Pfaadt had such amazing stuff, but still these offences generated so many high leverage situations with base runners. Clutch hits, clutch holds; a really entertaining hard-fought contest
Yesterday's loss was so heartbreaking. Coming back from a 7-2 deficit in the 9th inning, taking the lead, only for it to be snatched away in the bottom of the 9th. It's not the loss itself that's infuriating; it's the way we lost.
One of Arizona’s announcers is very annoying to me. He sounds engaged but sounds like that guy who knows a little bit about some players but nothing about the actual sport😐
Pfaadt is going to be so good. His problem right now is that he throws too many strikes lmao. He needs to give these guys pitches out of the zone when he’s ahead 0-2
My Padres gotta do something about the bullpen. It’s absolutely brutal. So many close games lost. The offense is doing its job. It’s actually kind of the same story with Arizona too and their situation might be worse lol.
Mostly it’s our starting pitching. Our starting pitching is completely hospitalized. And it’s possible you guys have just added Pfaadt to the IL as well.

Dbacks need a transfusion at the closer pitching spot, imo. Castellanos last night did great, with real movement on the ball, good control, and a confident demeanor.
That seemed like an intense game towards the end because both teams were trying to come back. Star Wars is my favorite special event ever! May the Force Be With You!
A good knuckleball has 1/4 of a rotation - 2 rotations max. Dickeys knuckleball had 1/2 rotation. Wrights knuckleball had 1/2-1 rotation. Waldrons has 5 or 6. Not even sure if you can consider that a knuckleball
