Two beautiful little hamlets and churches!!! Robin you are so blessed, as are we, to get to explore all the wonderful villages through your eyes!! Thanks so much!!
Robin, in the midst of confusion worldwide, your video provided such peace! The countryside is beautiful and the churches visited were amazing. The local authorities are to be commended for their preservation efforts. Thanks for taking us along on a beautiful journey. We look forward to your Sunday videos👍.
I am absolutely thrilled! Thank you so very much for taking the time, effort and care to share these two villages and part of the gorgeous River Leach! I have been hoping for some time you would cover this fascinating river and the wonderful villages along it’s path! Thank you again Robin and crew!!! You made my day! 👍🏼
I am envious of Ross' skill behind the camera, am in admiration of Robin's skill in front of the camera, and am thankful for the excellent writing. Excellent commentary. Great stuff!
Such a delightfully perfect Cotswold location, with not one but two lovely churches: thank goodness for The Trust! You do, though, raise an important question regarding tourism: bane or benefit? One wants to keep such places of beauty untouched for all times; however, the owner of the hotel/pub may, as well, have a voice on the subject. Thanks to all involved for bringing us another gem - the best way to begin one's Sunday! Cheers.
I am afraid it's a constant dilemma. The truth is that the silence and peacefulness of the last 18 months has only gone to emphasise the problem. I have no solution and thank you for watching.
The Cotswolds are such a lovely area. And a nice respite from the hectic world we often see and live in. Thank you for such wonderful videos. I cannot wait to come and visit from here in the U.S.
@@Hereticalable that was a good thing. They so far have found over 1500 unmarked graves at church run residential schools. They have about 140 more schools to check here. Oh and they ran medical experiments on the children too, on whether vitamins make a difference to starvation. Tell me more about how wonderful religion is.
@@lenabreijer1311 You're talking about Canada I assume. It's easy to cherry pick...and repeat half truths. Funny how the reaction to a mosque burning is very, very different to a church burning isn't it? Funny how people standing up for native rights support continued immigration and won't leave themselves. Let's talk about gulags and the Killing Fields and Cuban jails and how wonderful atheism is? Do you see how easy it is to cherry pick?
@@Hereticalable they just found another 160 graves. This just a few schools in Canada, they haven't started in the USA yet. Those churches that burnt were the ones on the actual reserves that were associated with the killers and abusers. There are still cases in the courts for the abusers who worked the residential schools up to the 90s. We are talking small children here, no some adults playing a consensual violence game.
@Nomad Not fair actually. I am indeed Robin. Not easy to prove I grant you; but me nonetheless. (Who else would use that word for heaven's sake?) Always good to hear from you. Cheers.
What a beautiful place you have rediscovered. Thank you so much for introducing us to this jewel. This is exactly the kind of place I love. Quiet, few or no tourists. You can just sit on a bench somewhere, as I love to do, soak up the atmosphere of the place and feel the breath of the centuries. Take care!
Instead of letting these abandoned churches waste away, why doesn’t the Church of England return these churches to the Roman Catholic Church, the church that actually built them? We’ll fill every pew.
Now that's a can of worms you have just opened Anette. I don't think I'll comment on the returning of the churches, but I am afraid the evidence would not appear to bear out the idea that the Roman church would fill very pew. Bampton, my home village, has a proud record of inter-denominational cooperation and in the absence of a catholic church in the village the RC locals hold their services in our lovely CofE church but their numbers are quite a lot smaller than the protestant crowd. But hey! I am all for this kind of spirit of cooperation and I hope we will all encourage as great a use as possible of these lovely places. Take care and thanks for watching. Robin

Lovely.
This place is indeed heaven on earth - it’s always so peaceful - very much off the beaten track and thus undiscovered to a major extent.
Indeed Susan. Thanks for watching. Robin

Lovely - and very professionally done. This is so much better in all respects than any countryside programmes on TV.
I agree. Robin's presentations are so much nicer and informative and simply better in every way.
Thank you so much. I just returned from a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia. Relaxing with a cup of tea and this delightful video.
Thanks a lot Robin.
Stunningly beautiful! A real gem - thanks Robin (and Widget and Ross of course).
Thank you so very much for this video. Lovely!

Wonderful places, beautiful presentation! ❤️
Thanks for your kind words and for watching. All the best, Robin
These kind of buildings will never reoccur. Thanks for introducing them.
Thank you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wonderful. Keep up the good work!
How can churches ever be redundant? The older, historic churches are so beautiful and peaceful. They are full of character and craftsmanship.
I couldn't agree more Diane. Luckily there are lots of like minded people. Thanks for watching. Robin
No one worships in them anymore. And the church doesn't want to have them used for other things.
