Loved your variety of vessels for the amaryllis and paperwhites. I'm never disappointed when they don't blossom at Christmas but like it afterwards giving them the attention after the tree comes down. Oh, the colors of the wreath (orange and blue) look absolutely beautiful and unexpected. I spy your beautiful collection of turned trees your husband made - on the dining room table. They really are quite special. Thank you for the surprise video!
I confess, I've forced the bulbs in various types of containers in past years and will do a few this season, as well - so easy and gratifying, especially in January when nothing is growing. I also have dried some blood oranges for potpourri, but hadn't thought about grapefruit or even limes or lemons - so pretty! What really caught my eye was your winter transformation of your enclosed porch - so cozy! Ironically, I spotted a lovely hooked wool throw pillow of a skier at a nearby thrift store (!) near me just a week ago and was kicking myself for not bringing it home with me! So, I returned a few days later in the faint hope that it would still be there - and it was! After researching mine, I realized I purchased it at a ridiculously low price, so I'm very glad I went back for it! How delighted was I to see that it's by the same artist-designer (Laura Megroz) of several of the pillows on your porch! I'm not very far from your area of southern VT where these pillows are made, so it's not surprising that I came across my pillow, but I hadn't seen them before, so I was delighted to learn more about them, their artist-designer and maker, and to see your delightful collection! (I'd say we both have very good taste in fun winter projects and hooked pillows!) Thanks for sharing!
Ok. You’ve inspired me to make the dried fruit . I’ve been wanting to lately for something different . So pretty and festive . Using fruit as decor is so festive and doesn’t cost much, very little.
Hello Kathleen i am new to your channel. I love all your different vessels you used . Thank you for sharing how to plant these bulbs. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving and stay safe my dear and Special u- tube friend.
Kathleen what you are doing with bulbs and cities has been done over and over on many you tube channels for years. At least a half a dozen or more this year. It is getting old. You need new fresh ideas. Sorry to be critical.
If you use a cooking rack instead of laying right on the parchment paper, the heat will hit the under side and they will dry faster.
Good to know!
Thanks for the tip!
