I’m a 2000s kid, but even with 64 DS, the nostalgia hits hard.
I played the original 64 version first but the DS version is also fantastic! People are really sleeping on that one. It's everything good about 64, if not better!

HOLY PARALLEL UNIVERSES!! I've been crossing my fingers for a Qumu remix of "File Select" for SO LONG! It's one of my favorite pieces of music, full stop, but there's so few remixes that retain the emotion I feel from the original. I didn't grow up with SM64 (my first real console was the Wii, the first 3D Mario game for me was Galaxy), but this piece resonates with me so much. Thanks, Qumu!
I know i already commented but you make me think of my dad all the time because we used to play these games. I think I enjoy your music because whiles its fresh, it hold the original beat. Its special what you have, and thanks for making me feel, when I am at my numbest.

The file select music is one of those songs that I don’t hear too often but when I do, I instantly recognize.

Playing through the different 3d Mario games on 3d all stars has been such a treat, having all of the games in one place is nice and being able to play with improved graphics is very fun but one of the best features is probably that every time you select what game to play it plays one of the songs from one of the games. It just made me appreciate some of the details in the music that's hard to hear while playing and including all the ost in the game as well makes it easy to find whatever you want to listen to. Thanks to this I've found so many great pieces of music that I'd otherwise not pay muth attention to and the file select screen in 64 is probably one of the ones I haven't thought much about until now.
Currently it's raining outside and it's very cloudy but it's still dawn so there's this feeling of calm everywhere so this remix is just absolutely fantastic for relaxing. The remade title screen that you used for the video is really neat.

I've tried to get a time with a psychologist to help me with some of my problems, my transition team says that I need to sort it out before anything else can proceed but I haven't had any luck with the psychologists close to here and I don't have the money to travel further away, on top of that my parents are constantly nagging on me to get a job and I don't have the energy to explain to them that I don't have the energy to even go up in the mornings anymore.
It has just been a lot of stuff to deal with and I just wanted to vent somewhere and this community is very kind. I hope everyone has an amazing day and that everyone get the love and appreciation that they deserve because you are absolutely incredible for having the energy to wake up and get through the day and I mean every single one who reads this, you are incredible
For me it's been really nice to revisit the 3D games through the collection, and I can imagine it's awesome for first-time players as well :D

Absolutely love the sustain on the last note of each segment. Some remixes are just re-orchestrations that do nothing to build off the track in a meaningful way. Not our Qumu. What a stellar re-imagining of this track.

I don’t have much nostalgia for Super Mario 64 as a whole game, but the different individual parts of it I do, and this song is one of the best examples of that.

This is fantastic. I only started playing SM64 last year via 3D All-Stars but the music is one of the best parts and this track is definitely one of my favorites. As with all of your remixes, this is incredible.
