- PNS Tariq Launched | Pak Navy Milgem Class Corvette Explained
The Pakistan Navy recently launched the PNS Tariq, the last of four Milgem class corvettes being built for the #PakNavy.
In this video, we take a close look at the capabilities of the Milgem class and what these new surface combatants will add to the Pakistan Navy's fleet.
The PNS Tariq is based on the Ada-class corvette design that was originally developed by the Turkish Navy. It displaces approximately 2926 tons and has an overall length of 99 meters. Powered by a combination of diesel and diesel-electric propulsion, the Milgem class has a top speed of 29 knots.
These corvettes are packed with modern sensors and armaments.
Key features include:
⚓76mm main gun
⚓Anti-ship missiles
⚓Anti-air missiles
⚓Torpedoes
⚓Modern radar and electronic warfare systems
With these new surface ships, the Pakistan Navy will significantly upgrade its capabilities. The Milgem corvettes will allow the navy to better secure Pakistan's coastal areas and Exclusive Economic Zone. They will also augment the navy's anti-submarine and anti-air defences.

The 054AP is a 4500 ton small Shendun ship equipped with 32 vertical launch area air defense missiles and active phased array, supersonic long-range anti-ship missiles. The Mierjim class is just a Gunboat, with a big gap. Why is the Miljim level even more expensive than the 054AP? 054ap not only has phased array radar, but also has long-range warning radar and Anti-submarine warfare capability.
054AP is pak frigate delivered by China. But this one is Turkish meljum corvett

In fact it is one of the most technologically advanced nations of the world and its weapon systems are world class. It is only one of two nations (the other is US) which have domestically produced operational fifth generation aircraft in their combat formations.
