I remember watching Mighty Duck the Animated series back in the 90's along with the other Disney series, I just wished that Might Ducks is finally out on complete Blu-Ray at last so I can relived the childhood memories since none of the disney animated series are not on TV anymore.
I love this series! Sure it was really cheesy, but it’s just a fun show with great characters and witty dialogue!! It’s a shame this never got a continuation! Nosedive and Duke were probably my favorites and OH MY GOD, JENNIFER HALE VOICES MALLORY?! That’s insanely cool! I loved this review, great work!! 😁
Awesome to see you do another Forgotten Television video, archer! I've definitely seen a commercial for Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series, probably from a Disney VHS tape, or something, can't remember exactly, but, sadly, I don't think I've EVER seen a single episode of this series when it was originally on, unfortunately, and that's a shame too really because this show is still awesome despite being loosely based off of The Mighty Ducks films! Great characters, despite them mostly being stock, and not getting much focus episodes, excellent choice of voice actors (wish Tim Curry could still do acting), decent animation with dated but still pleasantly looking CGI, and a kick-ass opening theme song! It does suck that it never got a Season 2 since the show ended on a cliffhanger as usual, of course, and it could've been the perfect opportunity to further develop characters, and the villains, as well as the mask's potential, instead of just being a MacGuffin, maybe even a Season 3 if possible. Regardless, despite the show's flaws, lack of proper ending, episodes being aired out of production order, and the toys being pretty crap, this is still a fantastic hidden gem from the 1990s, and I'll be sure to check out MD: TAS by pirating it since I don't wanna bother with a streaming service that'll probably just take it down eventually anyway! It's definitely way better than almost ANYTHING Disney makes nowadays whether tv shows, and/or movies (the less about the garbage Mighty Ducks tv series on Disney+, the better). And I agree, I hope that they NEVER revive this cartoon in godawful CGI like they did with the atrocious Chip & Dale reboot film last year. I too missed the 90s where it was worth getting up at 6 in the morning for tv, as opposed to nowadays where there's virtually nothing good on anymore, and kids are just looking at smartphones, and tablets. Anyway, since you did another FTV video, and this was from something that aired on ABC, I think I know a perfect one that you could review as a future lookback, and that being one of my childhood favorites from the early 90s, Bump In The Night, which also aired the same year as Gargoyles, because not only do I remember seeing this show when it was on back then, I even had figures of the 3 main characters when I was like 4, or 5! And speaking of ABC, and Gargoyles, for a possible future What Went Wrong? video, you could perhaps review Gargoyles's third, and final season: The Goliath Chronicles. Keep up the good work!
Three cool ideas that need to happen with Might Ducks TAS… -They need to have a crossover with ‘87 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. -They need to have a crossover with MD movie human characters with them animated, and have them decked out with battle suits, weapons and gear made from Tanya as if they were Big Hero 6 to help the animated anthro Ducks battle Lord Dragaunus and the Saurians. -Have Emilio Estevez voice on the series maybe as Drake DuCaine himself.
I remember. I loved this cartoon. I always wanted them to cross over with DuckTales or Darkwing Duck (even though they'd have to cross dimensions to do it).
I think this cartoon's biggest problem was that it came out at the tail end of the Disney Afternoon's run, when interest in Disney's cartoons had waned completely. And it being named after the hockey team and movie but having no connection to them just confused viewers.
Funny how Disney wanted an action series somthing similar to Power Rangers base on it yet they eventually got the franchise and started not to care for it later on
Duke had his own episode fleshing out what his past was. He was a jewel thief and head of his mob on Puck World, with Falcone showing up in his episode. His former rival. The episode was a parody of the film To Catch a Thief from 1955.
They kinda made a mask. It was the red eyes on the cardboard box that the action figures came in. Remember the message you had to decode by looking through the mask? You’re right though, I wish they make a three demential mask you could wear, white or gold.
I love, love, looove this series! I remember coming home from school and running so I wouldn't lose. I recently purchased Disney+ and discovered that it had the entire series and of course I rewatched it. It would be cool to remake the series, both to give it a good ending and correct some flaws from that time, but I'm afraid they'll do what they did with Duck Tales. Maybe it's better that they remain in the past...
The villains, the Saurians were really great and were casted well with a diverse set of actors, with Tim Curry, Tony Jay, Clancy Brown, and Frank Welker. To be honest, I only enjoyed the episodes when the Ducks were just dealing with the Saurians. The only other villains I enjoyed outside them were Dr Droid played by Charlie Adler who was basically the Duck’s version of the Rat King, and Asteroth.
If I had the power, I would take the villain group called "The Saurians" from Mighty Ducks and place them in a different show called "Extreme Dinosaurs".
As for the plot hole. It’s probably hard to locate the power crystals in other dimensions than it is planetary wise, Dragaunus’ ship’s sensors are probably limited to only scan for them in one current dimension, and planet at a time. Just because his tech is advanced doesn’t mean it’s too vast. Plus Dragaunus might be impatient and wants immediate progress or shortcuts. One episode, when he created an aerial assault platform instead of trying to power the Raptor, he couldn’t even invent his own anti-gravity device to make it fly so he had to do business with a con artist human scientist who already invented one.
The first time I watched them was on Toon Disney which is now Disney XD which is just a dead rerun channel now. It was so early in my life that I don't remember anything about it. I thought it was a fever dream and the only real Mighty Ducks were the movies. Have you seen DuckTales, either of the versions? Because for the reboot, before the announcement that its' current season is its' last, I was hoping the show would last long enough to lead to an Arrowverse style franchise where the show, the upcoming Darkwing Duck reboot or any Disney Afternoon reboot crossover once or even twice a season. Speaking of that, I have no idea what's going on with the Darkwing Duck reboot or if it's even a spin-off of the DuckTales reboot which I hope it is. But man, Disney has so many projects in development hell: this, the threequels for National Treasure, Tron and The Princess Diaries, every Star Wars movie, the Pirates movies, the live action African princess movie, Sade, which I'm convinced they turned it into the live action Little Mermaid movie.
If I was going to do anything with Wraith plot line wise, I would’ve had him form a traitorous coup against Lord Dragaunus on account of Dragaunus shunning ancient Saurian dark magic in favor of technology which Wraith could form a deep resentment against him for which could motivate him to betray and take over himself.

Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Mighty Ducks.... Disney really had a thing for ducks in the 90's!
I know right?

Your review of the show is a lot better than the Nostalgia Critic’s review.
Thank you. I really liked the show as a kid. So I had a great memory of all the stuff around it.
@@rangerreview1780 You're welcome, as you're leagues above Doug Walker, since he's well past his prime.

I want my SIRI to sound like Wildwing. Loved this show. Glad I watched it when I was a kid. Loved the 90’s! Thanks for an amazing review.
I remember watching this a kid. Good show.
I wish they had another season.

Totally agree. It also didn't help that Gargoyles season 3 was running. And Disney destroyed the season.

Yes, full irony.

What about Lucretia? She's pretty cool
Be interesting to see your take on the real adventures of Johnny quest. Thanks for doing what you do!
I would love to see you reboot on the Mighty Ducks
Do SWAT KATS The Radical Squadron forgotten television series.

Am I the only one who felt weird that they made a really attractive female duck?
You could also argue that some of the male ducks were attractive too. A lot of these 90s toons were gateways to the furry fandom 😆
The first time I watched them was on Toon Disney which is now Disney XD which is just a dead rerun channel now. It was so early in my life that I don't remember anything about it. I thought it was a fever dream and the only real Mighty Ducks were the movies.

Can you do Jungle Cubs?
Can you do a FTV Episode of Mummies Alive please
1:09 Courage the Cowardly Dog the duck invasion . This should never happen to a dog
Will you ever reboot it?
If this show were to be rebooted, a lot things would need to change since Disney sold their hockey franchise.
I rather it be revived.
Are you going to Review Code Lyoko?🤔
