Thank you Judy. You mad eme cry and feel proud to worship you. You are an angel. Amazing how touching and powerful... I think this is probably the most touching rendition I've heard. Amazing how I was fearing how she would sound listening to the monologue and then, from somwhere, the electrifying voice appears...
It's in the key of A instead of Ab, it hasn't been sped up because her vibrato is the same consistency and interval fluctuation as it is in any of her recordings from the 50s and 60s. I like it, it sounds strong.
I feel so happy, to hear the GTB sound, that is made here by Ge Bakker from GTB Den Haag, He did the PA system in the Concert Gebouw during more then 25 years, specialy for concerts like this. Lou van Rees was one of the big impressario´s who organized this Concerts.
I agree with others' comments. With the piano beside me, this taping of Garland's rainbow - is just a little too fast - becoming A+. The key she sang in, for most of her life is Ab + Bob
The greatest singer singing the #1 song of the 20th century. Thank you Buzz

Judy Garland...Over The Rainbow (1948) This one is in the key of A as well
Is it my imagination or is this in a higher key? I like her version in Paris 1960 much better.
