Nice. Similar to what I do. I mainly go TD17 into Logic on the iPad(no drivers needed). For PC I run TD17 into EzDrummer or Superior Drummer with Cubase. It’s so nice having a MIDI track of a drum performance. Good video. Thx
It's a really decent free vst used it for years!! Now out of time and practical purposes I uses Garageband. I am sure this will help a lot of people out. The did an update since I used it they didn't have all the mapping options. 👍😀
If you don't have any ugritune kits yet it might be a good time to pick some up since they have a going outta business sale going right now. You can pick some of them for like$2 right now. I have riot drums 2 that I blend with my Alesis dm8 module and it really helps add realism especially when it comes to cymbals!
You can actually buy their entire library for $99. It includes all their vsts and midi packs and samples. And their guitar plugins and cab irs. I'm going to pick it up eventually. Since I'm a guitarist who dabbles in drums. Might be a waste of $ since their going outta business it'll probably all be free eventually but it's probably only playing a penny an item by the end of it and it's one stop shop.
Hello nice explanation. Btw where is your earphone connected? Is it in the module of the drums or on your pc? And are you using any other connections/devices besides the pc and the drum module?
If your module has audio over USB you can use the headphone out on the module and use it as your computer's audio interface. If you only have USB MIDI then you will need to monitor through the computer's audio interface.
Have you tried the MODO Drums vst plug in yet?? MTPowerDrumKit is a good and very simple, easy to use plug-in but I'm not satisfied with the sounds especially the hi-hat so I tried other software and came across with MODO Drums which I am enjoying a lot.
@@cld6772 The full version is not free but it has free feature, the STUDIO KIT and you can already do a lot of things with it. It also has stand alone version which you can open and use even without using DAW
Could I use the avatar pd705? I really would like to just play on a live stream but I’m struggling to put sound to the pc through midi. I did order an audio 1/4 jack to usb interface.
@@demonicsweaters it worked perfectly through discord with the interface I got. I just selected the input and output from the interface and headphones and separate mic from the interface. I borrowed my brother’s clip mic from his trumpet 😂 they said it sounds really smooth. My friend with the guitar was having trouble though it kept cutting out. I’m not sure how he was going to the pc exactly but I think he said he has a stupid
lol autocorrect turned studio to stupid. It’s a revelator io24 it works with a daw even opened up. Also your videos about the avatar pd705 inspired me to buy it. And I often go back to see your instructional videos because i often forget how to load new wav files or set up the high pedal.
Hey Justin! How's your sd1250 holding up? My snare started missing inputs after only 2 weeks. Have you has any issues with yours? Do you know if its a module or a pad issue?
I've searched your videos to try and find this answer, but wasn't able to find it. What made you switch your module to the td07 module from the simmons module? Curious because i have the same simmons kit.
In a teaching environment, it's just better because there's less stuff to mess with and to distract the kids. The SD1250 had so many dials and sliders on it, they couldn't resist constantly fooling with them haha. Also, the TD-07 is just a good and fairly realistic sounding module that works great for live performance.
this is a cool demo, i used the vst before and seen videos but never saw anyone trying it with a real life v drum!

Thanks for posting a complete step by step set-up for us novices. Hard to find anyone that has done this.
My pleasure

I haven’t tried that one. I’ll check it out when I get a chance
Hey thanks I’m going to try this one. I don’t care for the drum sounds on the MTPowerDrumkit. I’m just using an avatar pd705 multi pad.
is this also free?

You should be able to, but I've heard a couple people say they can't get it to work. I'm going to have to try it myself and make a video.

Check your threshold, sensitivity settings, etc...
I currently have Simmons sd350. Would this work for this scenario?
Definitely, this would be a nice upgrade for you.
