I've read countless times that the blue grotto is the most famous tourist sight on the island. For me, the natural arch and standing at the foot of the Faraglioni rocks are far more interesting. Can't wait to see it all in person.
Hey Ken, yeah I've never been in the blue grotto. I'm sure it's nice but I never had any real desire go in. ...plus it didn't really fit well with my walking tour...and when I was there with my family, it didn't seem like a wise idea with three small kids. :)
This trail is a bonus point for Capri, very scenic and beautiful, I feel like I died and woke up in heaven ,ProWalks thank you for such a lovely gift, first thing in the morning,the natural rock formations are unique.

Thanks for walking this long trail with all those steps. The view along the trail is beautiful. The Natural Arch is worth seeing. I was surprised to see all the people at the restaurant so near the Arch.
The Italian are very good engineers and builders. The winding and cliffhanding roads and walking trails on the Capri island are amazing and beautiful. The houses and villas that are on the sloping cliffs are impressive as well. You also see this kind of engineering and construction in Sorrento and Positano.
This Capri series is a fantastic treat. I do a lazy variation of this walk, sometimes every other day of my stay. Around the halfway mark there is a crude trail that is labeled (at the top) something like Boy Scouts trail. You miss the cave and arch this time, but also the steep stairs that go up and down making you climb the same levels more than once. If you look at the terrain there is only one place for that gentle climb, and you retain enough energy to proceed on to Jovian Palace or whatever. I would briefly overshoot the turnoff a ways to see the modern house first. Ultimately you see most of the scenery for a fraction of the effort, including the level Tragara portion.
It is definitely worth a place on your bucket list.... But in April or October. It's a pretty small place and the huge crowds can take away from the beauty if it all. I hope you make it there!

No, it is a circular walk, but on the day I filmed, the trail was closed for maintenance right at the end so I had turn around. I went back a few months later (29:13) and finished filming the rest of the walk.
The part of the trail after the Grotto was closed in 2018, so when we went back to Capri with my in-laws, I took some time to film the rest of the trail when it was finally open.
