@@alexv5261 You are right that the piece is still over the table, but after they shaked hands the guy was telling him "i'll wait for you" and "return to me". Ortigia is inside a city named SIRACUSA, witch I lived, and is so Sade to say: the city is full of garbage 😕is beautiful in summer and I invited the people to come, but with responsibility.
These days in northern Italy there is so much cold, we are below zero and seeing this sea, these warm colors of Sicilian architecture, with Sicilian Baroque, warms the heart a lot! Thank you!!

Thank you so much for this. In Nov/Dec of 2017 I spent a month there. You passed by stores I shopped at, the apartment I stayed at for the first week and the hotel I finished my trip at. I was in the Cathedral about every other day. Part of the trip was fulfilling a 50 year old promise to my Italian step-mother on her dying bed that I would like a candle in a cathedral in Italy for her. You passed by the antique store I haunted and the cafe (bar) I had breakfast at every morning. Oh, thank you so very much. I long to go back. I only went off the little Island a couple of times to tour the amphitheater etc. but frankly, there were still things I didn't see while I was there. There wasn't enough time.
Love your videos. They have inspired me to visit Italy when we are allowed to do so! I love the fact that so much of Italy is still traditional. Im am from the UK and although we have many great historic buildings (i live in Scotland), many of our towns and cities are blighted by poor post war developments. Keep up the great work, your videos have been a great watch especially during this last year of lockdown.
We suffered a similar thing: between the 60s and the 80s a good part of Italy, with even some historical centers, was literally disfigured by building speculation, permissive rules and urbanization abuses. Often you don't see it because (thankfully) beauty prevails, although I believe that the value of many areas must be reasserted, sooner or later...
@@janetlombardi2314 I dont agree I life my life between Sicily and Yorkshire, Yorkshire is amazing, and England is great for work. Italy also has many impoverished areas too
Thank you for yet another wonderful video. Catania a few weeks ago and now Ortygia - you've really brightened up a dark, winter lockdown for me here in the UK. I can't wait to visit Sicily again but your videos will keep me going for the time-being. 😊
