This will help any musician who wishes to learn how to improvise achieve that goal and also develop a great practice routine. These lines sound amazing and can be learned fairly quickly.
A Huge tks for all this goldmine stuff, as a guitar player learning jazz and big fan of Trane, your videos have incredibly improved my playing. I decided today to buy your Pdf e-book convinced it worth every penny;) tks again!
ya , most stuff sounds pretty cool on sax, even stupid pentatonic licks that seem ignorant to guitarists. Have you ever played a kenny g solo on guitar , most self respecting guitarist would never play such sqwack, but it sounds kind of cool on sax.... go figure.
@@randyhetlage9202 the guitar part could have sounded equally as cool with a few slides, bends, and some vibrato... It's the expression beyond the notes that's important
Great lessons as usual! How about the idea of starting a simple triad from each note of a G7? G triad to B triad to C triad to F triad Thank you for all that you do
This is something I've always believe in. All notes are possible over any chord.
The phrasing on these lines are incredible. Thank you!!

I’ve noticed this as well! Some basic lines sound tasty on sax/trumpet but dull and dead on guitar

The cool thing is you can substitute a minor over a major to create extensions…your vocab goes thru the roof.
