Good luck with the new bike, I'm sure it will be epic. I get what you mean about having two bikes and I know you weren't really riding the KTM as much. Thanks for this video update. Your KTM SDR is probably where I will go next for a road bike, buying a nearly new makes sense to me. I'm not sure what to expect in price range or reliability.
Did you have issues with the bike wanting to pull the the left when riding with no hands? I bought a 2019 950s with 600 miles on it, pretty much new and the bike pulls to the left when I let go of the bars. I did hear another TH-camr mention the same thing. Wondering if it’s just a characteristic of the bike. Thanks. 8:02
300 miles in and I love my V2S, same issues with brakes and I’ve invested heavily in Evotech guards😢. Enjoy the V4 but too much for me and too thirsty, personally think the V2 is the sweet spot unless you do a lot of two up touring, power wasted on the road. But then maybe next time😉😆
Nice to hear you like the V2S. I do like the Evotech guards. Very good quality. You’re right about the V4. Has to much power for a touring bike. Will probably only use quarter throttle 😆👍
@@itchingtoride As you liked the KTM, the V4 seems like a good balance of power and comfort, used to have multiple bikes but the Multi is all styles rolled into one, you were lucky to get one given the demand. Look forward to seeing it in your videos👍🏍
I have this bike after having mostly Yamahas, the Ducatis seem to have a higher refinement level overall. The sound, the overall build quality, the ride, the brakes and planted feel... it's all higher end. Not to say the Japanese bikes aren't, you can just tell that a lot has gone into the development of the overall package
Sorry I did reply to this but for some reason it didn’t add the reply. There’s just something about Ducati’s. They feel special when you ride then. Very well made. They have character to them. The V4 and V twin engines sound great. On the jap bikes I find the inline 4 cylinder engine’s a bit boring. No character to them. Very High revving. The build quality is good but not as good as a Ducati.
The brakes are really wooden feeling for sure. I put on a set of EBC HH pads front and rear to help with the fronts and do something about the poor rear brake. Helped a some, not as much as I was hoping, though.
I just bled them and it made a big difference on the front. For the rear, I also changed the pads, didn't make as much a difference. Then again, I didn't have any issues with the brakes in the first place.
Wow! cleanest exhaust manifold I've seen on a used Multistrada. So apart from the engine guard did you clean it with anything else to keep it that clean?
Glad you enjoyed the bike. Enjoyed watching your trip around the Swiss passes. I’ve ordered the V2s,should have it now but supply chain issues, not arriving till November now I hope. Interested to know how long you may have to wait for the V4s?
Hello. I put a deposit on it about a week ago but it was already on order. When I put a deposit on it they said it had left Italy and should be about two weeks until it gets here. So hopefully will be here in about a week now🤞
@@itchingtoride wow, better luck than me. Think I need to rattle a cage or two my end. The dealer does seem a tad too relaxed about the push back on delivery date. Enjoy the new bike👍🤪
V4S,,, Wow, good for you Mark , really enjoyed all of your 950s videos , I love mine , recently put an Arrow exhaust on it, very 😊. if you wish to sell on your comfort seat mate , please let me know 👍
Hello thanks. Yes will be selling the seat and these bits. Akrapovic can, Evotech rad guards, Evotech engine guard. Rear top box bracket. Puig touring screen. If you send me a email I will give you my phone number. Itchingtoride.itr@yahoo.co.uk
I’m just trading my ZZR 1400 in for a 950 and I was also worried about the power . Nice to hear it all good.

The heated grips on the v4s now function the same as the 950 after a free software update.
That’s good to know thanks. My bike is at the dealership now. Hopefully will have it end of next week 😀👍
@@itchingtoride if its a new bike it will have the latest software mine did last month.
Yes it’s a new bike. So will have the update 👍
Great review mate and looking forward to seeing the new V4 👌😎👍🏼
Thanks mate. Yes looking forward to picking it up 😀👍

Hello. No didn’t notice it pull to the left. It rode great.
Yea, mine pulls also to the left,
Did the 950s have an auto blipper?
Yes up and down quick shifter.
@itchingtoride Thanks for the quick reply. I have a test ride booked next week. It's a toss up between the 950s or a 2018-2020 900 GT.

As a Ducati rider, you can tell me what's the difference between a Ducati and other motors like the Japanese brands?

That’s what I was going to do. Shame didn’t make much difference. I did like the 950 S. Was a very good bike. The V4 brakes are much better 😬👍

Hello. I use wire wool and scotch pads to clean the manifold.
Any issues with excessive engine heat in low speed city riding?
