Gotta say my favorite super sounds are the Winter Wrath with it's dubstep didgeridoo's and bottom tree Stormcaller because the thunder in the distance after the activation is very satisfying to hear
I wished that instead of just being a thunder in the distance on bottom tree Stormcaller it would actually made the sound of a thunderstrike, it would be a jizz to my ears

This is an awesome video! Destiny’s sound design rocks and def doesn’t get enough credit. Every single super having a completely unique and recognizable feel is really quite a feat. You hear that metallic clang of a Titan’s hammer from across the map without seeing a single lick of flame and you just KNOW. The sharp crackle of Stormtrance, the satisfying Pop! of a golden gun, the triumphant ring of Dawnblade...I could hear these super activation noises anywhere and I’d recognize them cause of how unique they are and how often I hear them. That’s some badass sound design. Some feel asmr, some feel dread (crucible mains lmao) but for me, these sounds are almost nostalgic. They remind me of some of my craziest moments, good memories of doing escalation protocol and blind well with friends, close calls and yeah, even some crazy crucible kills haha. It makes me happy. Props to Bungie for giving us that power trip every time we use our super. Imo, no other game comes close.

i love how during thundercrash, the titan disappears and only electricity remains for a while, before they reappear again to really indicate that they're going so fast they're literally a blur the sfx tops it all off

Watching this, I realized Stasis hunters throw their kamas in two different ways. The first one spins vertical while the second spins horizontal. I enjoy small details like that
As an arcstrider, the two most terrifying sounds in crucible for me are daybreak, thundercrash or another arc staff. Weirdly enough I haven't heard a single shadebinder or behemoth actually in a crucible match. Then again I don't PVP much and have only played during season of the lost and plunder (current)
Winters wraith is so unique because it genuinely looks like your character is harnessing the power rather than it just something that comes naturally like the light subclasses. It’s a small detail but it does so much for me idk why I love it
I had to grind out a bunch of mayhem this weekend, and this one round I did there must have been 2 or 3 warlocks on the enemy team with Geomag Stabilizers because OH MY GOD. I swear every 45 seconds or so I was being blasted into static. Also, that last hive relic sword, I've never noticed that creepy ass whisper/scream sound effect. So weird.
I saw that too. Wierdly enough I found out this week that Code of the Commander Titan counters Chaos Reach. Just block before they pop Chaos and its pretty much game over for them
I didn't notice that the Golden Gun model changes based on which tree you're using, looks like Hawkmoon for Sharpshooter and Last Word for Gunslinger... nice little detail.
If you where Celestial Nighthawk, The Last Word model will be the default golden gun, regardless of what tree you are using Also Sharpshooter Golden Gun resembles more of a Duke type of Handcannon
Aside from giving me flashbacks to trying to do the Crucible steps of the Thorn and The Last Word quests within a few days of each other, this is extremely satisfying.
Can’t tell you how many golden guns, hammer of sol’s, and dawn blades I have killed out with malfeasance. It’s such a underrated handcannon that can beam down opponents in PvP with deadly accuracy, I mean the thing has like no recoil!
Could you make a video of an opponent activating their super? I know their sounds are intensely dramatic when you're losing by a lot and they activate their super from another section of the map.
Blade barrage made me rage wayyyyyy more than puny stasis lol. Being frozen is annoying yeah but it's pretty easy to avoid. BB is gonna kill you regardless of what you do lol
I think stasis overall is more annoying for me but whenever somebody would use blade barrage on me I just gave up,couldn’t kill it in time and couldn’t hide...it was so frustrating
The Ascendant Hive Sword has 2 supers. This sword shockwave is actually its common default super, which was first introduced during D1's base game campaign. Its pretty rare to find this sword out in the wild but you can find this version of the sword during Warsat public events, Altars of Sorrow, and certain missions (For example the Nightmare Hunt with Crota in it or the last campaign mission of Shadowkeep) The other slam super thats greenish and without a shockwave, can only be found during the Pit of Heresy Dungeon If Crota's End ever gets remastered into D2 like Vog did, they we are sure to expect this sword to be used as the main relic weapon of the raid
I play Warlock, and depending on what super i cast, I'll say some catchphrase just to sound flashy. Here's what I say: While casting Daybreak: "Let's set the sky ablaze!" While casting Well of Radiance: "Guardians, on me!" While casting any form of Nova Bomb: "Begone!" or "Here, catch!" While casting Nova Warp: "Let the void consume you!" While casting Stormtrance: "Witness TRUE power!" Or while using Landfall Stormtrance: "Strike down!" While casting Chaos Reach: "No escape!" While casting Winter's Wrath: "I'll freeze you to your core!" or "Feel my frozen wrath!" (Skrillex plays in the background afterwards) I know it sounds corny, all of it. But i feel more powerful saying these things while my super is being casted. It also gives me a sense of immersion. Anyone else do this or just me?

Stasis sound effects are the best, I can't deny it. The tornado hunter stasis sound is wonderful. Note this is coming from a warlock who hates hearing it.

There’s something about the Nova Warp being the “going ape-shit” button of supers that makes it my favorite.

You should look into voice acting, or line creation. These lines are great for something like a MOBA or a hero shooter like Overwatch and Paladdins.
