They were all successful, but it(india-hinduism) was so big in numbers and vast civilisation that after even 200% destruction,we got saved somehow. Our roots are cut off,we are much cut from our gurukul culture and many scriptures and sanskrit learnings and yagna instead of now what we do more idol worship rather doing yajna more.

There are two main reasons why conversions happen. One is when we don’t know about ourselves and the second is when we don’t know about the one who is trying to convert us. If we fix these two things I am definitely sure that we will be successful in not getting duped by mischievous people from abrahamic faiths.

Also from last few years I am hearing news of Guyana Hindus converting to Christianity. As we all know Hinduism is not structural religion but natural religion. We have to start Vedic schools in Guyana, India and Indonesian which will teach Vedas and science to next generation so that they will not fall prey to these Abrahmic religions which are very aggressive in finishing multiethnic and diverse communities.

In the year 1981, I got a chance to go to Gyuana. I was working with Merchant Navy, and our ship landed at the seaport of Georgetown. Our ship was to load raw sugar from there to France. To my surprise, I noticed Hindi songs being played on radio. First of all, I thought that device could be a tape-record, but it was a radio. I asked that gentleman how is he getting those songs from the other end of the world. He told me that there was a radio station in Surinam, and people there speak Hindi. When I settled in the United States, I met many of the people from Guyana, Trinidad. India was under the british rule, and they brought the Indians to work for them in different countries, like South Africa, West Indies, and Fiji. People of Indian origin still speak Hindi. When Panama Canal was built, so many Indians worked there. In New York City, I visited the Shiva Temple, which was built I believe on 110th street north of Northern Blvd. in Queens. People from Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana have built that temple. Most of them are very soft spoken. Indian people in all these countries have gained political powers, such as Prime Minister, President etc.

When I was in Philippines, I was surprised to find out that the entire Hindu community there had converted to Christianity. They celebrated Diwali as an auspicious day, but with a service from the pastor. In Indonesia, Hindus were converted to Islam by the Arab traders in 16-17th century; they still celebrate Dusshera with Ram Lila, but as a cultural event. I have seen several Indonesian Muslims wear a locket of Shri Ram on them.
@Govinthan Kannan Like anything, the 4 jatis got distorted as time went by. However, I feel the invaders used that distortion to take advantage and divide. There is no English word for jati. I would say classification comes close to it.
Another really inspiring video,Rajivji! When Hindus in Guyana have worked so hard to preserve and remain connected to their Dharma & Cultural heritage,it will definitely encourage Hindus back home here in Bharat as well as in US-Canada to connect to and take pride in celebrating their Hindu Cultural Heritage openly and assertively! 🙂🙏
Nice to hear from Dr Vindhya about Guyana Hindus. Glad that Infinity foundation produced this video to educate main land India about Hindus outside India.
Inspirational story. Here in South Africa we have a similar story. Though many families circumed to conversion out of ignorance, immense gratitude goes out to my parents and forefathers for keeping our traditions alive for us.
Very nice episode. It stress on the importance of ones identity in his or her life also feeling of pride in own culture and asserting it firmly is of great importance. Lessons for many of those who are suffering from inferiority complexes and are in awe of westeners.
@Essequibo river Amazona do your research if your religion allows you to .converting dosent mean RIGHT and justified or DEVINE at all . Christianity is full of FEAR and making people live with foolish ideologies like wise islam … funny but TELL WHY YOUR OWN PEOPLE ARE DEMOLISHING CHURCHES in europe? but my DHARMA allows me to respect and see the same divine that we are thought , by this you proved you know absolutely nothing about SNATAN DHARMA ( HINDU ) thankfully . so brain storm and allow your true human side to evolve . this wont go long , because SANATAN doesn't need cheap tricks (converting drama) to survive .
Sir, your point about Africans losing their traditional identity is 200% true. In fact, most of these converted Africans go back and converted others back home. I too feel very sorry about that. One of my colleagues, a Nigerian by birth (don't want to take her name) in UK, even though she worked for an IT company, she worked part time as a missionary. She would go on holiday to Nigeria and organize conversion events by enticing people with gifts. I asked her, don't you feel like protecting the local traditions and customs. She said a point blank 'I dont care, I want to spreadthe message of Jesus'. It's that bad. I felt sorry for her and her people back home.
Conversion is all about money. I know quite a few Indians and Nepalese who do that. I ask them straight how much they receive per conversion. If they did not receive the benefits the churches provide with the western money pouring in, they would leave the religion in a heartbeat. I know a family who was Christians. The last time I met them, they were back to being Hindus. Guess why? Their kid was kicked out of a Jesuit school and school would not have the kid back again because they were Christians. Money plays a big factor in conversion.

Thank you dear sister for letting a great son of our beloved India a out our struggles yet we yearn for a progressive hindu and a kind and loving India.
Fact...our vedic rishie's was not religious people they was spiritual people scientist INVESTIGATORS researcher, they touched upon every field of knowledge intilligence known to both modern and ancient world of both spiritual&material science,eg.0987654321, the musical scales yoga ect.ect.life enhancing stuff we Indians give it to humanity free of charge with absolutely no intellectual property rights...
Great interview! Hinduism was similarly preserved in Suriname by our forefathers 🙏
There are two main reasons why conversions happen. One is when we don’t know about ourselves and the second is when we don’t know about the one who is trying to convert us. If we fix these two things I am definitely sure that we will be successful in not getting duped by mischievous people from abrahamic faiths.

Sir your videos give us strength and hope, even after betrayal from some of our own community members. Once one of our school teacher said to us, you may like, love and respect others mother, but that doesn't mean you should leave your own mother, and accept their mother as your own.

Thank u for this video. Learn a lot about Hinduism in Guyana.
Would like to learn more about Hinduism in Indonesia.

M proud of Hinduism..long live Hinduism

Dear Rajiv Ji, I'm so happy and proud of the work you are doing to restore Hindu Culture and Values. The Hindu Identity has over the decades underdone many levels of fragmentation and disintegration. It's high time the work of restoration began. I'm a practicing psychological counselor, and your work is critical from the psychological point of view to create wholeness and wellness among one of the largest communities in the world.

Vikram Razdan woii very interesting love from gt Guyana
@Govinthan Kannan Like anything, the 4 jatis got distorted as time went by. However, I feel the invaders used that distortion to take advantage and divide. There is no English word for jati. I would say classification comes close to it.

Beautiful and so inspiring !

@Essequibo river Amazona
Stick to your devil's cult of Islam and Christianity. You are domed to ignorance.
Please, you worship cow!, have soms sense....😂😅

Great sister!!!..... Lots of love from India!!!
I loved the conversation. I am proud of our Hindu culture and proud to be born as a Hindu.
Reminds of South Africa and Mauritius case as very much similarity in same historical back ground it's very much same with south Africa too
