Same Quartet. Same Suits. Same Song.
Still incredible, and will be forever.
I expect a rendition of this song in 2035 and will be thoroughly disappointed if not given this.
These four have entered legend
I thought they retired after last year! BEST THING TO SEE EVER!!!!!
They're not retiring. You can see more of Tony on Voctave videos too.
@@justjennb11 thanks
Please not! Even if they do they should have a reunion every year or two just to sing their medley again. It's just that good!
They didn’t retire, it’s just that after a quartet wins ther can’t compete anymore.
1:03 is the cleanest I’ve ever heard them do that... I swear Tony, even after all these years is STILL getting better. Gotta love Main Street
I would assume the other times, it was supposed to be comically bad, but they finally realized it’s better to just sound good😂
@@17AJ06 From what I know from watching Tony from other performances, and teachings, he always wants it to sound good.
The gold medals are comically small.
I think they're quite tasteful, better than slamming a huge chunk of metal on their chests. The trophy can afford to be big, but I like the small medals
@@TAP7a it should be like multiple small pieces that make up one big piece
9:57 Him still being able to hold the note for 14 seconds is crazy
Super impressive
Well
OMG, I worked with these guys in my Disney days!! Love love love singing with Roger!!
I really love the facial hair Myron's rocking.
man, I had to look twice to spot the scruff ;)
Lets keep this vid at 0 dislikes because this is the most wonderfully wholesome thing I've seen in a while.
Are you serious who disliked this I’m finding you
Leo Zigmond apparently 10 people disagreed with you
1 dislike per 100 people isn't too bad. More dislikes than I think this deserves but...
By asking for no one to dislike this video, you probably caused the dislikes.
Lol
Screaming overtone on the last chord!!! Killer!
Oh my god, it is ungodly how clear and "loud" this overtone is! Incredible!
The 6 dislikes are people who came to barbershop looking for hair cutting 😂 this is amazing!!
5:09 Tony D still chucking out full voice Bb's
The shoutout to Change is Gonna Come was my entertainment for the ENTIRE International week. So well timed!
I would KILL for a complete Barbershop remix of Baby Bye Bye
They finally won gold! Yes! They deserved it, congratulations Main Street!
They look so proud with those gold medals on. This was a complete surprise, and a treat for the ears.
Any time I'm feeling low I listen to you all and I'm so lifted! You are awesome!
I didn't expect to get emotional in the middle of this video, but I'm not complaining.
Up-town... fuuuuunnnnnkkkkkk….
Barbershop just gets into your soul.
This is definitely my favorite group ever!!
Bahahahaha. There’s no crying in barnershop! Tony’s “signature” solo is epic. 🤣🤣
Wiener-Do “Signature” solo 😉
Parker Rognrud exactly. 😎
Never seen a mondern day barbershop quartet before, only movies and video games. This is so god damn cool
Man....I feel awesome after this.
Absolutely amazing. I can't wait to keep watching Main Street for many years to come.
Yes!!!!
An attempt at a barbershop 7....lol
Can someone maybe explain to me, please?
@@barborabecicova1469 barbershop 7ths are major dominant 7ths.
In a nutshell, barbershop is based upon the ringing of chords (have the overtone series be heard just in human voices) & the best chords for ringing are 7th chords.
Joshlama To elaborate on this, in the “barbershop 7” chord the seventh is generally sung slightly flatter than in a dominant seventh chord to better approximate the harmonic series, giving these chords their distinctive ringing quality
I have and always will love Main Street
Lovw you guys so much. My favorite next to the newfangle four. Love they did this song again from 2015
"Hey, so I'm looking to keep the length on top, and take the sides down to a zero."
"Sure thing, but do you love the songs from the good ole days?"
"What?"
*all together* "Weee love the soooongs from the goood ooole daaaays..."
"Oh no, man, I really just need-"
"But as times and music chaaange..."
"God damn it I need my hair cut, my sides need to come dow-"
"The music from the gooood ooooooOOOOle daaaaays..."
"Just get it over with, guys, I'm really in a hurry."
How are they SO good at dynamics?!
Lots of practice....
Practice, practice, and more practice.
Talent only goes so far. Practice makes it go farther.
THEYRE SO GOOD UUUGH IT KILLS ME
Yes boys! Congratulations on being champions! Totally deserved! Those screaming over/undertones are just fantastic!
Annual update! YES!
Wow, I dont even have words te describe. How amazing, my god.
That. Was. Awesome.
omg i love all these four!!
I freaking love them
It's about time!!! Love these guys!!
I love quartets, they are beautiful. I always wanted to know if people will do this anymore
My dad was in a gospel quartet for a while.
I love the beginning.
They have got so much better at the level being the same at the end so I can here all the parts. It's amazingly difficult to do but congrats on your progress.
second guy from the right looks like a character from those old stop-motion christmas specials, the way his mouth moves
I thought there’d be new songs in the new rendition cuz times have changed a lot LOL. Would love to see an updated version!
Tony is priceless!
Main Street will forever be the best
they look older and so does my spirit, but it doesn't die
Fantastic!
Waves upon waves of goosebumps!
These Guy’s Vocals Together are like a harpsichord Singing,
The world needs more of them
Back at it again
In idaho i told tony and roger theyd win, and look at em now! Woot
I was so happy for them when they achieved this moment. Irreplaceable and fun.
OH my boys are back!!
Been waiting for this!
Esses caras são incríveis muito bom!!
I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN IT SO BADLY!!!
It's about time they won!
The shade from Tony I love it 😂
These guys are hella smooth
Boy do I love these guys 😍 Tony's voice is so awesome. Didn't he lose a bunch of weight a few years ago and then gain it back again? Same bro same 😂😄😅 He's still bae tho 😊
Those are some impressive folks...😏
Brilliant
9:41 that intonation
0:00 - 10:28 that intonation
Guy on left reminds me of Ray Romano for some reason and the guy on the right is the double of John Malkovich
Everytime they nail a dominant seventh chord I want to jump
7:19
Holy shit
I'm wondering what the title of the song of 2:30
does anyone can let me know?
"Oops... I Did It Again" by Britney Spears
RIP Main Street... Enjoy the retirement dudes!
Todd Choryan so...are they retired or not? I thought they had last year?
Retired from competition I believe, but don't quote me on that.
Todd Choryan - They’re only retiring from contest, we’ll still see a lot of Main Street! They’re doing shows and don’t intend on retiring as a quartet for a while
@@NikoPorter Oh, phew. I checked their tour though, and the closest they went to Boston was Pittsburg, and that was over a month ago already. I'd LOVE to see them live, that would be so cool!
They deserved their gold, maybe that’s when they decided they would retire was once they won their gold? I love Main Street regardless :3
Do all the barbershop quartet groups in the show also know how to cut hair
Thought the crowd was dead through the first half
This is their most popular song so pretty much everyone there has heard it multiple times
@@Charlie-mr9cn That's no different than any concert I've ever been to. You don't just sit through the bands most popular song because you've heard it before.
@@MrAFJones yeah but it's only the jokes and funny parts that get a crowd reaction in barbershop. You don't laugh at the same joke multiple times do you 😂
@@Charlie-mr9cn If that were true people like Dane Cook and Larry the Cable Guy would never had made it
@@MrAFJones yeah I don't know who either of them are
Is it the audience dead? No reaction from them.
They've sung this song (or a very similar rendition) for almost five years now, so almost everybody in the audience has already heard it.
In addition, it sounds like the crowd isn't miked as heavily as it has been in previous years, especially last year.
Jeff Howe there was no change to the song from last year except for the improv in the middle
Because this is their same routine. Probably boring after 5 years of the same old stuff.
Which one is the bass
The second guy from the left.
It goes: baritone, bass, lead, tenor.
Is this an adaptation of an older song, or is it all original?
(I get its a mdley but is the good old days original?) ty
This is a parody of an older song.
@@BarbershopHarmony What is the older song please? ty for replying
0:36
This was fantastic the first 45 times. But after a while can’t they learn a little something new?
Myron looks creepy in that lighting with his facial hair.
When he looks down especially.
These songs and.the.pefermorse are well.traines they are well dressed and their movements for age men they are.good for their age
you can go the distends
"Modern muis sucks!"
Excuse me, let's watch this video to disprove your opinion.
Jinx
what a lame crowd!!!! this set usually gets them way more laughs
They got plenty - the audience is pretty far back from the stage, so it's not as evident on recordings.
1:07 sorry this is just for me ignore
Who is here from cuphead?
fun fact: You're here because of Let me explain studios
Wrong. I'm here because of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.
Correct
