@FG2jit I mean yeah he should've been a mutli time world champion. But Poland hasn't had 25 drivers without a single 1 of them not even getting 1 race win. Hell I realized Poland with 1 driver has more wins than Japan with 25 that's fucked up lol
@@thekingmansplainer6813 Because I'm sorry to say this, since I like Japenese a lot, but most of their drivers were terribly mid. Kamui was the only one with big potential so far and he as so many good drivers before him fell victim to midfield financial politics hell. We're yet to see Japanese junior that thrills top teams so much, they're willing to risk all their resources for him.
@@huihui5059 I'd argue Sato and Tsunoda have big potential as well. I'd even argue that Sato is 1 of the most naturally talented drivers of all time. I mean he started karting at 19 and only 5 years later he was in F1. That's amazing. But he was screwed over by bad luck. A year of GP2 could've done him some good at Jordan and Honda he was the 2nd driver so he was capped by his equipment. And then he was at Super backmarkers Super Aguri where he had his best moment at Canada. Tsunoda was fucked over by a impatient Red Bull as many drivers have been. 1 year in F2 where he squeaked into the F1 requirements on the final day and was put into a F1 seat ASAP after that when he should've stayed 1 more year in F2. And since day 1 he's been the 2nd driver to Gasly so the team isn't focused on his development and capped by equipment. Plus him dealing with homesickness his rookie year didn't help either.
I really hope Tsunoda can do amazingly in his home turf at Suzuka in 2024. Its been 12 years now since last time we see a Japanese driver on the podium at home soil.

The crazy thing about this podium was it was 3rd on pace in a Sauber, no crashes, weird strategy or timely safety car to get there it was all him.
