I worked on a season of Nathan for You in college as a PA. I assure you, what you see on camera in that show is real and happened exactly as it was portrayed.
Colton Haynes for Iceman. Also it’s wild to say the Marvel has to go the “diverse” route for X-Men, when it took them 10+ films to have a diverse movie (Black Panther). They’re very behind DC and even Fox in terms of having diversity at the forefront of casting choices from the beginning.
I would love to see some of the lesser known characters or maybe characters that haven't gotten a time on the live action TV or Movie screen, like Forge, Dust, and Dazzler. Alternatively I would love it if they introduced X-Men in a Disney+ show modeled after X-Men Evolution, that allows them to bring in a wide cast of characters and build up to big moments that they could then turn into movies.
I would love to see Tom Hardy as Wolverine and Drew Marshall as Gambit. His Cajun accent was PERFECT in True Blood, and his swagger and screen presence was on point to be Gambit.
Daphne Keen as Wolverine. By all means, have someone like Tom Hardy as Logan in flashbacks, or as Old Man (though if you're doing Old Man Logan, might as well stick with Jackman: can look his age, and doesn't have to be ripped), but Keen more than earned a return, and seeing her go berserker as a *grown up Laura would be awesome! (*Okay, late-teen, but given what she could do at ELEVEN, it would be worth the price of admission alone!)
this has been my idea for a while now, instead of just bringing in Logan use Laura/X-23 to be Wolverine and this way we can get the classic yellow and blue suit. It looks alot better on her.
Forget all about the live action Xmen, then go watch the 1992 animated series on Disney+ Then after you do that tell me who should play Puck. But really to me that is xmen, rogue and jubilee are integral, and the primary bad guys are apocalypse and mr sinister. And apocalypse is way different, in the live action movies he's more like another character later on in the series somewhere around the phoenix saga. Also morph is cool and there's bishop and cable in a totally different take on days of future past. And gambit is in it and his backstory is dope and theres a whole episode where wolverine and captain america do a black ops mission together, also wolverine is mad hilarious always throwing out killer one liners.
My Grandfather, Father, and Brother have the exact same name. My grandfather is referred to "Sr.", my father is "Jr.", and brother is the "III". I'm pretty sure my Dad could of been a "II" but I assume it's more common in the US to use Jr. instead.
To me the best way to do the X-men in the MCU would be making most of them younger around Peter's age. Most of classic members are teachers (Cyclops, Jean, Logan, Beast, etc.) and the team is younger version of characters. Laura/X-23 as Wolverine so she can bully Peter, Kitty Pyrde, Cylops, Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Storm.
In Ultimate Marvel Magneto tells Cyclops his family was killed in a mass genocide and that he is a descendant of a Shoah survivor, not one himself. So you could use that to modernized his backstory without giving up the roots of it.
Keanu reeves for professor x. He practically wears suits in 99 percent of his movies lol. He was in talks for captain marvel a while back but turned it down for John wick I believe. So I think he’s still in consideration for a future mcu movie. Mr sinister too would be cool as a villain. Could make a good magneto but I don’t see a magneto making an appearance so soon.
I said this after watching one of his Netflix movies but I'll say it again here. Noah Centineo is just Ralph Macchio doing a Mark Ruffalo impersonation. But at the same time I don't hate it
For a new Xmen film series, please cast unknown or lesser known actors marvel. It will help us get into the chars easily, and it will end up being a large cast, so will keep the costs down, and stop the stories focusing on the "Stars" only, its needs to be an ensemble through and through.
I'm a Jr. as well. Different middle name (my middle-name is my mom's last name before she married my dad) but same name as my dad. My nickname "Jon" is derived from the Jr.
I cannot express how much we don't need to change a character from one minority, marginalized group just to bring to light about minority and marginalized group. If they want a middle eastern hero, there is an important character that already exists...
Ok I’m midway through the Jr. conversation. The middle name absolutely counts in all situations. The name has to be exact every time. From there, you guys (well some of you) are correct. Sr. And Jr. are only applicable if both a father and son (or parent and child I imagine. I can imagine a few situations including unisex names. I’m sure it’s happened.) have the exact same name. From there ANY third child with that exact name is III and so on. The I and II only come into play (this is the part you guys got correct most consistently) if the exact same name is reused but outside of a parent/child relationship. So if Tim named his kid Cool Greg Middlename Gettys, he would be Cool Greg Middlename Gettys II. And the original Cool Greg would be Cool Greg Middlename Gettys I.
OMG in order to have a number in your name you have to have entirely the same name as someone else in your family. So something something the 3rd literally means the 3rd person of the same name. If your middle name is different it does not count.
janelle monae for storm. Emile Hirsch is a fantastic choice for Wolverine. He's got the skills, the height, the facial features. And I love the choice for Pedro Pascal and Sterling K Brown!
My official name on my birth certificate is Garry Scott Kupfner II. My mom was adamant that I was not a Jr. I think the II vs Jr. also is relies on what your parents name you at birth.
My cousin has the same name as her mother, the weird part is she is the 2nd born, so my aunt wasn’t fully onboard with the the first kid, but once that 2nd kid comes along she is full force
Here's my X-Men cast: Wolverine: Emile Hirsh or Taron Egerton for younger, Oscar Issacs for older (even though he was a bad Apocalypse) Cyclops: Glen Powell Storm: Yaya DaCosta Professor X: Bryan Cranston if casting older, Jamie Dornan if younger, POC choice Jeffery Wright Magneto: Christoph Waltz if casting older, Luke Evans if casting younger, POC choice Idris Elba Jean Grey: Holland Roden Rogue: Alexandra Daddario or Gemma Arterton Gambit: Jared Padalecki Kitty Pride: Margot Qualley Colossus: Scott Eastwood Beast: Toby Kebbell Forge: Martin Sensmeier Night Crawler: Riz Ahmed Ice Man: Logan Lerman Psylocke: Elodie Yung (assuming the Netflix shows aren't cannon in the MCU) Mystique: Evan Rachel Wood Emma Frost: Charlize Theron Angel/Archangel: Armie Hammer Bishop: John David Washington Jubilee: Ellen Wong (or just Lana Condor again lol) Banshee: Robert Sheehan Dazzler: Samara Weaving
I'd love for a lot of the X-Men actors to be a variety of races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities. Not only would it be cool to throw those kinds of actors and stories in the MCU, but X-Men would be a great opportunity for that to happen considering they are literally an analogy for minorities and the bigotry they face
If and when Andy tries Mac&Cheese I feel like it's too risky to have him try some unique niche kind nomatter how good you think it is, he should try the most widely enjoyed basic bitch brand because I feel like that would give the best odds of him liking it and continuing to eat it, after which you can open him up to all the different varieties.
There is 0% chance that Disney is not casting a gay actor as Iceman. There isn't even the typical "why are you changing things" argument because the character is already gay.
Why did nobody think to call Blessing during the Jr/II/III discussion? I love you guys.
Hella awkward at 19:16. Nick and Andy’s faces lol yikes
I worked on a season of Nathan for You in college as a PA. I assure you, what you see on camera in that show is real and happened exactly as it was portrayed.
Fran "my hair's not done" Mirabella III
“It always makes me feel sad when I see successful people that are younger than me.” I feel that, Andy. I feel that.
A live action of both Night of the Sentinels episodes would almost be a perfect X-Men movie to start over.
Dumb Starbucks is my fave Nathan For You episode
andy and tim just sold me on nathan for you... starting it tomorrow!!!!!
Andy should add the middle name of Maximus. Andy Maximus Cortez
Nathan for you is the best Show of all time! The uber war ads was so funny
There is nothing fake about it Kevin has no idea what he's talking about
I would love to see Tom Hardy as Wolverine and Drew Marshall as Gambit. His Cajun accent was PERFECT in True Blood, and his swagger and screen presence was on point to be Gambit.
Bukkakis has me in tears oh my god 😂
Daphne Keen as Wolverine.
By all means, have someone like Tom Hardy as Logan in flashbacks, or as Old Man (though if you're doing Old Man Logan, might as well stick with Jackman: can look his age, and doesn't have to be ripped), but Keen more than earned a return, and seeing her go berserker as a *grown up Laura would be awesome!

It was in KF/AF, Andy "Booya"
Forget all about the live action Xmen, then go watch the 1992 animated series on Disney+
Then after you do that tell me who should play Puck.

lmao "No, that's what a catchphrase is"
My Grandfather, Father, and Brother have the exact same name. My grandfather is referred to "Sr.", my father is "Jr.", and brother is the "III". I'm pretty sure my Dad could of been a "II" but I assume it's more common in the US to use Jr. instead.
All of this jr and II stuff is infuriating and i love it
Y'all need to have Fran in more content!
Super cool that you guys got Hellboy to be on your podcast.
Sterling K Brown and Pedro Pascal!! YES! 👏🏻
Great to hear Fran 👍🏻
The show for the hunt for the best macaroni and cheese should be called Mac and Me. Thank you, and goodnight.
I like Patrick Stewart but if Steve Harvey isn't Charles Xavier then what's the point?
Who?
Welcome to the "Blonde Tomato Kid Show"
Andy Clarke Cortez - ACC on the beat
Also Sterling K Brown was already in Black Panther

Most of classic members are teachers (Cyclops, Jean, Logan, Beast, etc.) and the team is younger version of characters. Laura/X-23 as Wolverine so she can bully Peter, Kitty Pyrde, Cylops, Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Storm.
The problem with Sterling K Brown as Xavier (1:19:30) is that Mr. Brown's already been in the MCU, he played Killmonger's dad in Black Panther
Gemma Chan was in Captain Marvel and is playing a different character in Eternals. Marvel seems okay with casting one actor in multiple MCU roles
@@envynav3520 you right you right
8:18 does that mean Tim thinks charcoal is not a physical item?
Man just do Bolivar Trask and NIghtcrawler.. Nightcrawler so dope
Nathan. For. You.
Finally!
Kiki Layne as Storm :)
I had to google almost all of these actors, I feel so out of the loop.
We need more Fran
You could make Magneto the child/grandchild of a survivor. Or as Nick said, someone who survived a more recent war/atrocity.
Andy Serkis can Mo-Cap as a mango
my mother and my aunt are both named after their mothers with the same name. not called jr or second, just called by nicknames
I don't know how good of an actress Janelle Monae is, but she has shown interest in playing Storm and I love her as an artist. Could be a good fit.
In Ultimate Marvel Magneto tells Cyclops his family was killed in a mass genocide and that he is a descendant of a Shoah survivor, not one himself. So you could use that to modernized his backstory without giving up the roots of it.
Alexandra Shipp was a mediocre Storm. We need a dark skin actress with a commanding presence in the role. Yetide Badaki would be amazing.
That booyah joke was in the kf/af episode
Sterling cant come over because hes already in black Panther
I am the second. Didn’t like it when I was growing up, now I love it
isn't Velveta Shells and Cheese the best mac and cheese?
Oh Brita’s in this?
Keanu reeves for professor x. He practically wears suits in 99 percent of his movies lol. He was in talks for captain marvel a while back but turned it down for John wick I believe. So I think he’s still in consideration for a future mcu movie. Mr sinister too would be cool as a villain. Could make a good magneto but I don’t see a magneto making an appearance so soon.

I wonder if Tim looks more red on camera because the camera's white balance is trying to compensate for his blue background lights.
lakeith stanfield as they silver surfer would be my pick
Denzel Washington should play Magneto
Breakfast club still holds up to this day
For a new Xmen film series, please cast unknown or lesser known actors marvel. It will help us get into the chars easily, and it will end up being a large cast, so will keep the costs down, and stop the stories focusing on the "Stars" only, its needs to be an ensemble through and through.
I miss Fran on KF content #bringhimback
I just want a short Wolverine 😔
Jeremy Dooley for Wolverine
Prof. X (Leo Dicaprio) & Magneto (Christian Bale) stand alone movie.
directed by Christopher Nolan
I knew a Gladys Tibbs jr.
Little did we know, we're in the presence of GMIII_
Tim got bit by a radioactive tomatoe
What about Magneto being a survivor of the Rawandan Genocide or Isaaq Genocide?
Does anybody know if they’re doing a reaction to marvels war table today?
i just want Giancarlo Esposito to play professor X...that would be incredible. i think he could bring a ton to the role
What about the guy who plays Sargent Daniels in the wire as professor X
I can just tell you where the best mac n cheese is. It's Panera Bread.
Steve Harrington from stranger things as Nightcrawler make it happen
There's a rumor out there that Rogue will be introduced in Captain Marvel 2.
I'm a Jr. as well. Different middle name (my middle-name is my mom's last name before she married my dad) but same name as my dad. My nickname "Jon" is derived from the Jr.
Andy, I don't get the Noah Centineo hype either ...
Charlie Day is my no.1 pick for Wolverine by far! Jamie Bell is honourable, but distant second
Room temperature water. Is the only way to drink water
Speaking of catchphrases, what happened to Meemaw? :(
Who’s the actor they proposed as wolverine? Can’t understand it and it’s driving me nuts
Look up George Foreman's kids names if you want to melt your brains on all this II or Jr. thing.
I cannot express how much we don't need to change a character from one minority, marginalized group just to bring to light about minority and marginalized group.
If they want a middle eastern hero, there is an important character that already exists...

Each week this show somehow get better. Keep up the great content guys!! Also loving the new hoodie Andy.
I'm with Nick, as a long time X-Men fan and a kid of the 80's we do not need Jubilee in any future X-Men content
Bryan Cranston as Professor X
Fuck it. Sigourney Weaver as professor Charlene Xavier
Listening to the audio podcast really showed me I have no idea who any actors were lol i couldn’t put more than one or two faces to the names. 😢
Ben Mendelssohn as Magneto... please
If the MCU goes with the alternate reality route, I would love to see George Clooney in a cameo as the OG Nick Fury.
My official name on my birth certificate is Garry Scott Kupfner II. My mom was adamant that I was not a Jr. I think the II vs Jr. also is relies on what your parents name you at birth.
Tom Hardy as Wolverine hes short he has the edge and hes Tom Hardy
Also muscles and build of wolverine
Tom Hardy as Wolverine is almost too obvious
@Beyond Midgar And then he'd eat a lobster or something.
I wished they watched Vikings and did a review about it I like the show more than game of thrones
Totally agree, Vikings is fucking awesome.
1:32:04
Andy’s middle name should just be a letter.
Its so funny i've never thought of or i think met a women who had the same name as her mother.
My cousin has the same name as her mother, the weird part is she is the 2nd born, so my aunt wasn’t fully onboard with the the first kid, but once that 2nd kid comes along she is full force
RIP Gambit
Here's my X-Men cast:
Wolverine: Emile Hirsh or Taron Egerton for younger, Oscar Issacs for older (even though he was a bad Apocalypse)
Cyclops: Glen Powell
Storm: Yaya DaCosta
Professor X: Bryan Cranston if casting older, Jamie Dornan if younger, POC choice Jeffery Wright
Magneto: Christoph Waltz if casting older, Luke Evans if casting younger, POC choice Idris Elba
Jean Grey: Holland Roden
Rogue: Alexandra Daddario or Gemma Arterton
Gambit: Jared Padalecki
Kitty Pride: Margot Qualley
Colossus: Scott Eastwood
Beast: Toby Kebbell
Forge: Martin Sensmeier
Night Crawler: Riz Ahmed
Ice Man: Logan Lerman
Psylocke: Elodie Yung (assuming the Netflix shows aren't cannon in the MCU)
Mystique: Evan Rachel Wood
Emma Frost: Charlize Theron
Angel/Archangel: Armie Hammer
Bishop: John David Washington
Jubilee: Ellen Wong (or just Lana Condor again lol)
Banshee: Robert Sheehan
Dazzler: Samara Weaving
Miss fran.
It's obvious Andy should be name Andy Mirabella the Third.
Wolverine shouldn’t pop up until the end credits of the first movie
So I’m named after my father but I have a middle name and he doesn’t. That still makes me a jr, right ?
I'd love for a lot of the X-Men actors to be a variety of races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities.

There is 0% chance that Disney is not casting a gay actor as Iceman. There isn't even the typical "why are you changing things" argument because the character is already gay.
