Wonderful view of Pompeii folks I see a lot is now roped off a bit different from when we travelled thru there in the 80s.Your son will be a fountain of knowledge at the end of this trip such a wonderful opportunity for him that will last a lifetime.Enjoy your time with friends and keep these great videos coming.
Your videos are terrific! They make we viewers feel like we’re traveling with you! We know it’s a lot of work, but it’s really appreciated, and you’ll have the best home movies ever, when you finally get the dog(s)!
Colonee. Thanks for getting these videos up, I know it's not easy both for editing and uploading where you are. Loved seeing those Amalfi towns from the ocean compared to all the on-land travel shows I've seen in my lifetime.
Love the shirt, reminds me of the great times we've had in Brazil! There's a lot about Brazil and Australia that's the same, easy going lifestyle, beaches, wilderness!
It was mid-week - hate to see how busy it is on a weekend! We arrived just as the doors were opening and spent the day there. Yet we still missed some of the ruins, it's that big!
Really enjoy the narration as you travel around. Thanks for taking us along! What was the cost for those pastries? You normally mention costs particularly if you think it expensive.
Hey guys. I've been reading your list on your website about what you chose to include on your boat in terms of equipment and what you left out. Now that you've actually been cruising around, has this list changed? Is there stuff you wish you had brought with you or installed on Tranquilo? Also, how has the Watt and Sea generator held up? You mentioned you would do a follow up but I haven't heard anything about it since the installation?
Hi Nick, good questions. The two main things we ended up installing, first was an outboard motor davit which helped make installing the motor on the tender much easier, and secondly we ended up installing a solar panel as we slowed down and spent more time on anchor. While the Watt & Sea is brilliant for when we're moving, generating more than enough of our electricity requirements, it doesn't generate whilst on anchor, when the solar panel excels. The Watt & Sea continues to be excellent, generating over 10 Amps in around 6 knots of speed, and 16+ Amps in 7.5 knots of speed, more than enough to keep the autopilot, chartplotter and fridge, plus all the other electricals running 24/7. Hope this helps! Fil
I believe I have seen this before you guys should have way way more subs!! I have watched u for a while basically watched your son get bigger and grow up laugh out loud. I have lived your travels and I truly have one of the nicest boats on sailing channels. Can I ask how long you continue to sail for? And I’m sorry if it’s personal but have u done a video on the original costs of this boat when I boat it and any refit costs it would be helpful to me please
Thanks CC, that's very much appreciated! Not too fussed about how many subscribers we have, as long as you're all enjoying them and it inspires some to live their dreams!
Yes, sailing is all about the weather and ensuring you're on top of maintenance. So far we've managed to avoid the worst of the weather and winds over 35 knots, mostly due to good planning and routing.
Enjoying the video clip and you have done a brilliant job on the edit! If you have time let me know what you think of my latest video just need some feedback! 😃
I love how Aiden takes his ball everywhere with him it's so sweet....

Thanks Darren, appreciate it! And yes Aiden's learning a lot!

No worries Thomas, glad you find them useful!
One of your best videos yet!! I loved seeing Pompeii, you guys really showed the best of it! Well done. Looking forward to the next episode in Capri!
Thanks Tan! Capri was great, although we didn't see as much of it as you did!
I'm new to your channel but one thing that I immediately liked is the educational dialogue you provided. Great work
Thanks! And welcome to the channel!

Yeah good point, they really are different from the water vs from the land, as when we passed through on our road trip 20 years ago...
I like when you wear Brazilian T-shirts and your Brazilian "canga".... I am a new subscriber and loving watching. I have my boat in Croatia.
Love the shirt, reminds me of the great times we've had in Brazil! There's a lot about Brazil and Australia that's the same, easy going lifestyle, beaches, wilderness!

Yes they're everywhere! Thanks Stuart!
Columnae! What time and what day of the week did you visit Pompeii? It didn't seem too crowded...

Columeeee 😉👍

Amazingly they weren't that expensive! Southern Italy is considerably less expensive than northern Italy, except for the marinas...

And we'll add your idea about original costs for a future video, or at least a future blog!
mamma mia , i garanti you... that the "BABA" was the best ever , with rum...... ;)
If you travel away from the boat for the day do you leave your valuables on the boat or take them with you?
We lock up and leave our valuables on the yacht. Critical items like passports are hidden away.
columni :)
a decision good sailers do
