      He is a retired senior officer who lives at Windsor.
      They are paying the normal compliment ( here an Eyes Left) accorded to officers whether on or off duty and even in civilian clothes. Officers of General rank never officially retire. An Officer holds the Queen’s Commission and therefore respect is being shown to HM the Queen. I hope this explains a little bit. The UK Armed Forces are full of quirky traditions that dare back centuries. All the best, Ian

    I’d love to know a bit about that gentleman they all looked left towards. They showed him great respect and him to the men

      I believe that's the governor of the castle.

      One of the residents knights. He appears or you hear him acknowledge the gdsmn in a few of these videos. The last couple of videos have shown great discipline from the Grenadiers and so flawless. I love the British Army

      You must be a UK citizen and lived there for the last 6 years or in some circumstances a citizen of a Commonwealth country.
      Citizens from the Republic of Ireland are also accepted. This is off the top of my head and it’s ten years since I was involved in recruiting so check out the official British Army website. I hope this is helpful. Good luck, Ian

    Love them. However abit disgusted with them at 1:51. The first Guardsman is fine. The second one has a medal ribbon without a medal and the 3rd one has 2-3 missing buttons on his tunic.

    Why does that one guardsman have a medal ribbon but not the actual medal?

      Royal Victorian order, guardsman will be somewhere on the honours list for 2021, he’ll get the ceremony at some point, probably carried the coffin on Prince Phillips funeral.

    I can not believe that corporal posted his guardsman knowing he's not in the correct order of dress.( missing button) and the other guardsman missing his medal . What the hell is going on

    • @militaryevents107
      @militaryevents107  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The medal is not missing, but not given, he has been awarded the medal, therefore has the ribbon, but no medal. The medal is an MVO, GSM had the same thing on trooping the colour this year.
