Most of you guys who comment have little to no understanding of how to correctly evaluate a player, if you did, you would see that Mariota is the better prospect in this year's draft. He's got what you want in a player and in a person
Still Weavinson He's the better prospect despite the fact that he can't call plays in a huddle, has never run a pro style offense, can't call audibles or hot routes, can't throw downfield, can't throw into coverage, can't take a hit without getting injured, can't take snaps under center, and can't win from the pocket? lmao okay, you're clearly the one who has no idea how to evaluate a college player for NFL talent. You're probably one of the people who thought RG3 was a better prospect than Luck in the 2012 draft. Once again, it's the athlete (Griffin/Mariota) vs the quarterback (Luck/Winston). Mariota will only have a shot if the Eagles manage to land him somehow. They might not even need to trade up at all, since they're really the only NFL team SERIOUSLY considering him.
Really? Cant take snaps under center? Cant take a hit? Cant win from the pocket? He has a 70 % completion percentage from the pocket. He hasnt taken snaps from under center yet, yet being the primary word there, so we dont know either way what he can do. You obviously havent watched much of Mariota. Quit being oblivious. Oh and he has NEVER missed a College Football game, he is far from just an athlete playing QB he is a QB who is also an athlete. Watch him have the better career than Winston.
Still Weavinson his completion percentage is next to irrelevant in the system he plays. Only about 30% of the passes he makes are NFL pro-style plays, while the rest are read option. Of the NFL passes he makes, his completion percentage is just over 50%, where with Winston, all his passes are NFL style, and his completion percentage is nearly 70%. And as you said, we don't know what he can do, so why the fuck would any NFL team want to draft him when with Winston, we DO know that he can excel in a pro-style offense?
RayZon97 Can't throw downfield, into coverage or take a hit? What are you on dude? He throws downfield all the time in this highlight as well as into coverage. Could his placement improve? Sure but it's atleast adequate. And as for taking hits, he's a running QB who has taken more hits than virtually any QB in college and had one or two somewhat inhibiting injuries, that still as far as I know never forced him to miss a game. Could be wrong about that but I don't feel like looking it up. Think before you speak next time please.
TheMacAttackX rarely throws downfield, and almost never into coverage. His receivers are wide open 90% of the time. Also his accuracy when throwing downfield is garbage, even when its not into coverage. He got injured in the Ohio State game after one hit. He runs like a cheetah. If he is running that fast in the NFL and takes a good hit from a 300lb linebacker at that speed, he is done.

His decisions making are like Aaron Rogers and manage the option gameplan like Russell Wilson, this is guy is skillful. Whoever will draft this quarterback will be rise above greatness.
The Eagles have to try their best to get this kid. Philly is the only team in the NFL that suits his skill set perfectly. It'll be tough to get him but they need to at least try
***** if we draft him i believe we should sit him and develop him for some time i know that goes against everything but really we don't want another rg3 happening in the nfl now do we? but i guess we will see what happens because chip is a crazy some bitch and i for one wanna see what he does next.
***** I don't necessarily agree with that. Eagles is the only team in the NFL that wouldn't require him to change much if at all. I get that part of it. However teams like the Saints, Texans and Packers have QB gurus that can fully maximize Mariota's potential. Now the Texans have O'Brien as the HC. O'Brien is known to be a QB guru who gets the best out of his QBs. Even though his system is complex and could take more than a season for him to perfect. He would be in a system that is run first. It would be a good set up for Mariota because, he won't be ask to carry the team like every team expects their 1st round QB pick to do(Texans got to 9-7 with backup QBs). He would be starting while taking a back seat at the same time. Once Mariota gets comfortable with the system, he would then be giving the Tom Brady role. Not sure he can be successful like Brady, but he would be giving a fair opportunity to do so. The Packers have Mike McCarthy. The guy who made Aaron Rodgers who he is today(nuff said). Now the Saints would be good fit for Mariota simply because of Sean Payton. Who I consider the best offensive mind in the NFL. You can't tell me that guy won't know what to do with Mariota. It's debatable who can get the best out of Mariota. I guess smart choice would be Chip Kelly because, Mariota flourish under his tenure. However those other guys aren't clueless on how to mold QBs and maximize their potential.
I know this is years late but Pharoah Brown almost had to have his leg amputated after that injury. Luckily he had a ton of surgery and came out well enough to play football again
You were right. We shouldve gotten williams. Mett showed potential when he threw for the most yards last preseason. What I dont like is he said he wanted to be traded if they draft mariota so he doesnt want any competition. He wants a free starting role
Congrats you (MIGHT) have Mariota and you have 0 secondary, 0 WR, 0 RB, 0TE, and in case you don't get him you have Bradford and Sanchez... Oh yeah Chip Kelly is doing "whatever it takes" to have the quickest coaching stint in the NFL.
Of course, Byron Maxwell your recent FA from SEA. Also, Ertz is easily replaceable and then you go on to name a bunch of 'ifs" which your TEAM doesn't have yet. You just named 3 people on your roster out of the 53 in an NFL team. 1 of which was a recent FA who may or may not work under the 'system". Ertz is good but he's not a game changer and replaceable within his position and skill set. Also, Jordan Mathews is a rookie who hasn't done anything in the NFL. You just proved my point.
Chip Kelly:"I think Marcus is the best quarterback in the draft. We will never mortgage our future to go all the way up to go get someone like that because we have too many other holes that we're going to take care of."
He seems very polished. Got a rocket arm and can move around in pocket well. What im looking for is more footage of contested throws. These guys all caught balls after blowing coverage. In NFL, every throw will be contested.
Plain and simple, Marcus was pampered his whole college career. They recruited him and built their whole program on an offense that would dominate college defenses, but that same system wouldn't last 2 weeks in the NFL. Marcus did as good as anyone could have in his position, but your drunk if you think he is ready. Im willing to make a $5,000 Wager that he throws more interceptions than touchdowns his first year, WHERE ALL THE DUCK FANS?! Message me for details.
LMAO. Oregon's been running the spread offense long before Mariotta was around. And how was he "pampered"? I may be sympathetic with how you may or may not see his NFL career go but not with your points as they are invalid and you're talking out of your ass. ;)
Steve Kelly Why are you avoiding the point on the transition aspect from college program to the NFL?? LMFAO My words exactly are they built an offense that won't succeed in the NFL, Its really difficult to read pictures and signs from the sideline, just like High School. Me and You can have a public wager were I can make you look like an ass in front of many people, LMK ;)
Steve Kelly Why are you trolling Marcus Mariota all over TH-cam? Your a grown man that goes around liking Oregon football Videos and getting football boners from another 21 Year old man... Wonder what you would do for a pair a tickets to see him at the draft O.o LMFAO
Really that offense doesn't work in the NFL yet here chip kelly is running it in the NFL with players way out of the scheme. Lol and they're 10-6 for two years ina row. Next year will be better
Still don't really see the hype surrounding him. He's a great college QB, and I could see why a college team might want him, but I've seen nothing from him that has convinced me that he will be a game changer in the NFL. The only team that he might be able to succeed with is the Eagles or maybe the 49ers. I don't think the 49ers would draft him even if they had the opportunity, and the Eagles most likely will not have the opportunity unless they trade up (which will be way too costly)
3 reasons I would draft him and why he will be successful. 3. He is a smart system Qb, and is a pass first player but takes what he can get like Russell Wilson. System Qbs are players that can and will play around the system u ask them to. 2.No issues off the field, he is a great leader. He leads by example, he's the first guy in last out. 3. He has incredible acceleration and throwing on the run skills. Great athlete. I think he is a good passer with potential to develop into a great passer. All he needs is to learn the simple mechanics and with time he will be great. I think the eagles would fit him perfectly but I think he would also play well on the jets if the pick up demarco Murray and Julius Thomas in free agency
Bobby Mcbrien Yeah my prediction is that he goes to the Jets. I hope you're right in your assessments though, I would love to see him do well, just his college highlights sorta leave me on the fence.
Stephen A. Smith I know more about the NFL than you do. Also I don't quite understand your name, since Stephan A. Smith would actually agree with me. Winston is the better prospect for most teams.
The thing I like about Marcus is that he improved his game every year he was in college. He still has a bit of growing to do both physically and mentally as he still looks like a kid.If a team has the patience to let him mature slowly they will have themselves a beast. cmon steelers draft this kid and let him sit behind big ben for a couple of years.
Brian Best I mean he's alright he really benefits from Chip Kelly, but Kelly is only really scratching the surface of what his offense is capable of. With Mariota being in that spread offense throughout his entire career he'll only thrive on this team.
He will only be a bust if he is forced to start right away, but if he goes to a team like the saints where he will sit behind a great quarterback and has time to develop he will be good.

Hmmm last time I checked 7 is less than 5, and mariota has a better qbr.
Mariota > Winston
2020 and I’m watching this again ❤️😩
TH-cam recommendations back at it
I just wanna cry all the Nastalgic memories of watching the team and state that I grew up in kick ass
Anyone here after the Atlanta Falcons signing?
His decisions making are like Aaron Rogers and manage the option gameplan like Russell Wilson, this is guy is skillful. Whoever will draft this quarterback will be rise above greatness.
This did not age well lmao
@@jadenb4922 I don’t even remember commenting this lol
He NEEDS to go with the Broncos it feels like a perfect fit
Storm Damage GTFOH
Ashton Yates XD u mad bruh
mariota
calm
consistent
great descion maker
makes every one around him better
No QB has made as many touchdowns than Marcus
I’m happy that this boy was my son’s role model. Excellent player but better human being. #Hawaii #Oregon #Tennessee #MM8
Not trying to be disrespectful but, I lowkey came to this video for the jersey :/
He trusts his players more than I have ever seen
It would've been even more lit if you had him trucking or hurdling somebody at 3:09
Forever the legend🙏🏽
The Eagles have to try their best to get this kid. Philly is the only team in the NFL that suits his skill set perfectly. It'll be tough to get him but they need to at least try
Kelly says Eagles aren't trading up for Marcus Mariota
I'll believe it when I see it.
Oh well you didnt get your wish. i welcome him to TEN
thx for putting fav Qb
Look at the TIGHT ENDS leg at 9:32.... OUCH
I know this is years late but Pharoah Brown almost had to have his leg amputated after that injury. Luckily he had a ton of surgery and came out well enough to play football again
What is the name of the 1st instrumental? Producer's name?
Welcome to the raiders bro!! 💀💀
2.2 million views jeez, I loved watching him in college. One of my favorite players.
Any other RAIDER fans here watching after yesterday's game against the CHARGERS ?
Here
Yup.. I just like the fact he can scramble and get yards. Carr sitting in the pocket and our defense is just not the answer
Looking at the pictures of all the past heisman trophy winners. Ernie Davis stands out, such a great player and even a better man, #gonetosoon
the titans new QB looks pretty good
mr3000ts you're joking right. Mettenburger is unathletic and has a very inconsistant throw. Plus he gets injured. Hes a polar opposite of big ben.
You were right. We shouldve gotten williams. Mett showed potential when he threw for the most yards last preseason. What I dont like is he said he wanted to be traded if they draft mariota so he doesnt want any competition. He wants a free starting role
King .B he was talking mariota
This man deserves to start in the NFL. Change my mind
Well he got his chance
It's insane how much Marcus has regressed in the NFL. Where has this player gone? The footwork looks nothing like this now!
Mc Ren too many injuries and Titans was not a good look for him
Ever since he injured his ankle in 2016 against Jags never came back the same. That was also his best season where he played like everyone expected.
Marcus Moriota is the pride and joy of the people and beautiful islands of Hawaii🤙🏽
EAGLES BABY!! DO THE DEAL !!!!!!! WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah!
Bears bro
Lolwut^He's Eagles property at this point
The impromptu shovel pass at 2:10 changed the mood of that game.
Come to Philly!!!!! Get him Chip Kelly!!!!
Chip Kelly:"I think Marcus is the best quarterback in the draft. We will never mortgage our future to go all the way up to go get someone like that because we have too many other holes that we're going to take care of."
Blackpuma striver He also said Nick foles would be his QB for the next 1000 years.. Nothing is a sure thing with Coach Kelly.
Angel Ramirez eagles have the same concepts.
Really that offense doesn't work in the NFL yet here chip kelly is running it in the NFL with players way out of the scheme. Lol and they're 10-6 for two years ina row. Next year will be better
Welcome to the titans mariota.
RayZon97 you talking like you know somthin about the nfl shut the fuck up
Stephen A. Smith I know more about the NFL than you do. Also I don't quite understand your name, since Stephan A. Smith would actually agree with me. Winston is the better prospect for most teams.
no just shut the fuck up
AKA Hawaii Jesus Playing Football Dam he can Fly.
The thing I like about Marcus is that he improved his game every year he was in college. He still has a bit of growing to do both physically and mentally as he still looks like a kid.If a team has the patience to let him mature slowly they will have themselves a beast.
cmon steelers draft this kid and let him sit behind big ben for a couple of years.
please please please get drafted by the eagles
Hey please check out my Marcus Mariota Highlight video. I would appreciate it if you could watch it and leave a thumbs up or a comment. Thank you!
Lol titans
***** it's cool I mean Sanchez will start after bradford gets injured by week 2
***** mariota is much better for eagles u must be stupid
The black jerseys with the black helmets with chrome wings were absolutely filthy!!!
Who else watching this after he got benched by Tennessee so tanehill could start
ATL Falcons fan from the 808 state. Let's go Mariota!!!
eagles don't need mariota , mariota needs eagles
Matheus Hibrahim what was that?
Matheus Hibrahim I guess that never happened😀😀😀
this will be the beginning to a dynasty in Philadelphia
he needs to go to the eagles, any other team He will be a bust and an big embarrassment
Eagles already have a great QB, Nick Foles.
Brian Best
I mean he's alright he really benefits from Chip Kelly, but Kelly is only really scratching the surface of what his offense is capable of. With Mariota being in that spread offense throughout his entire career he'll only thrive on this team.
Ok
Brian Best Nick FOLES Is trash
If he were trash he wouldn't have a 14-4 record as the starter
what are the other 2 songs you used on this
He will be a bust in the league
He will only be a bust if he is forced to start right away, but if he goes to a team like the saints where he will sit behind a great quarterback and has time to develop he will be good.
Bohminator I reckon he will develop just fine under breez, but very unlikely.
still think so?
No
You were wrong
