"Activate three distress beacons. Rescue four children. Activate the warp portals. Locate the energy totem and defend it at all costs." Thx for the great remix!
Finally! Someone that understands this song. What most remasters get wrong: 1. Tempo is always slower. 2. They trade out the choir for trombones or some other instrument. 3. For this song particularly, they always take away from the percussion. Well done!
tbh he just gets what the songs need to be elevated without losing their essence. There's not ONE remake/remix he's done so far that I thought was overdone or in poor taste.
I know this is a remix, but for once the N64 version is better than the recent PC versions, they sound too synthesised. Back in the day the PC soundtracks were often better than consoles, Quake for example but now when something gets remade for PC, Steam etc. the redone soundtracks are never as good.
How they hired the voice actor for Turok: - What's your name again? - I am Turok. - Look I got a lot of people auditionning all the time, what makes you think you'd be good at this? - I am Turok. - That's great, buuut, what do you do? - What do I do? I am Turok. - And? - And they are many Jeffs in the world, Toms as well, but I... am Turok. - And? - Are you Turok? No you are not Turok, neither is Scott Bale Turok, Frank Jeffrey's not Turok.... but I? - You..... are.. TUrok! - That's right! :D - Ok you're hired. - Of course.
Lots of good memories (or maybe bad as I always had headache playing this game on N64) of this game. Nicely done remaster and the video is stunning good :)
Every remix including the official PC remake of Port of Adia I SKIP over only returning to the N64 version because they make the song WEAKER. Being a layman and Without knowing any musical theory , so im just swinging in the dark with my words, you UNDERSTOOD the parts that made it strong , and enhanced THOSE and the glorious steady drums making the vibe so crucial and dangerous and driving and pressing, a mission we can't fail,, thank you, the only legit remix IMO bravo!!! Full blast !
Child rescued
"Thank you Turok!"
So wholesome.
- Turok: Hee-heeee !!!!! *moonwalks into a portal as he shoots a cerebral bore in the last enemy in the level*
"Activate three distress beacons. Rescue four children. Activate the warp portals. Locate the energy totem and defend it at all costs."

some of then get the pitch of the music wrong
Damn, a remake that just sounds like an actual upgrade of the original. Still has the heart and soul of the OG too.
