This is by far the best rebuild of a classic 930 I’ve ever seen! Gorgeous car, gorgeous color. All the upgrades vs original are done with immaculate taste for heritage.
Never been a big Targa fan, but I do like this one. The grey top really works! And I love the color of the car . The classic Fuchs are the only way to go for me - it looks ridiculous with those new wheels on it. Very nice walk-around of a beautiful car. Thank you!
+1 .. Wow! ... A level of excellence not often available. .. Wow... In such good taste to boot. . This life long 911 owner wouldn't alter a thing. . My own '98 911 (993) coupe has undergone a Full refresh at Bruce Canapa's shop. . The refresh RFP was to maintain OEM stock with few exception. . As the original 993 coupe owner it was well worth the cost. .. Bring money. .. The owners of this Targa have only begun their 911 Targa journey; That in and of itself is priceless. .. The very best, Cheers, Vail, Colorado
I am in the market for an older 911 and found this channel. Personally I love the treatment of this car, with classic touches that don't do the complete 'backdate' transformation that others do. Attention to detail is wonderful also. Thanks for sharing this, which is a bit of an inspiration for what I'd like to aspire to in a car purchase!
Thank you for such a considered walkthrough video and putting such care and attention into a lovey build. It will be great to see a video with the mylar targa roof fitted 👏👍
Brilliant, again. You are, by far, my favorite bespoke restorer. I love your detail and results. I will admit, however, I desperately wanted to see in that fuse box. My 87 is keeping me busy in that area and I would have loved to see your modern solution. A goal of mine is to one day have a Dutchmann 911. Cheers!
No easy way around it I'm afraid. We rebuild fuseboxes to original spec. (or replace the entire wiring loom where required. Thanks for the positive feedback & take care!
Have a 3.2 RoW high compression if my own - you just convinced me it can be updated with Taste and authenticity- I agree - the 3.2 targa is probably the best blend of classic and contemporary 911
Love that you referenced Wham! Thought you were pretty darn cool before but now you are in the legendary stratosphere. I hope to be giving you a ring in the near future.
Simply gorgeous ! And I looooove the colour. The 14 inch Fuchs look much better than the modern iteration, to my taste disproportionate and inelegant. Sorry 😅 Lovely work. Congratulations.
@pitts3219 ... Speak for yourself. .. The sales of the traditional Targa model were always adjacent to the cabriolet. Not far behind. .. Had a "traditional" Targa been available in the 993 series, my ordered '98 993 S coupe would be a Targa. .. Hey To each his/her own. .. Cheers

Not a 930. It's a Carrera

Hey Tom. Thanks for the great feedback. The Fuchs are indeed beautiful - the Cup 2 wheels are a unique touch!

That shop is incredible. I'm jealous that you got to go there.
Also Vail is beautiful. Living your best life!

interesting redo very nice work!, *I always lift the rear windshield wiper before opening the rear trunk.😮
First I noticed was the trim - glad you mentioned that was part of the rebuild
Nice touch and blend of long hood detail with 3.2 bones

Simply Amazing. I have an 86 in Canada. Will have to do this in the near future.
love your work. can’t believe the customer did not stay with Cassis red!

Is a marriage proposal Gary? :)
This car is absolutely stunning. Fantastic work as always Gavin! Love the Tigers decal. :)
Thanks Mark!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. You mentioned the roll bar was black before. What method did you use to remove the old paint?
Can you give a link for the glass Mylar roof?
Great work!!! Thank you for keeping these cars on the road.
Fantastic work, now I think this is the car to own
BIUTIFUL WORKMANSHIP , in what sounds like a SOUTH AFRICAN BUILD !!!
Wow! Nice color!🙏👍👏🇸🇪
Beautiful build. Wish it would've stayed stock color, though. A lot of folks don't seem to like the Cassis Red but I think it's beautiful and unique.
wow, very good build quality and the color combination is stunning.
fantastic car & great colour
Yea that clear roof is the cherry on top
Where can I purchase one of the carpet and truck sets for my car.
Thanks!!!
lovely color

Those are at least 16” rims.
Love this car AND the fuchs wheels with the deep lips, those other 17" wheels you have are not pretty IMO.
Beautiful!
The glass roof "for the snowy weather".....yeah.
What a beautiful car
To me the only thing this car lacks is chrome mirrors vs the flags. Would've kept more design continuity with the rest of the G-series chrome trim.
Beautiful car and work. Cost for something like this?
Only one arm and a leg :) Costs vary materially by model & specification - drop us an email on us@dutchmann.co.za for details.
What a yummy example
Very Nice GAVIN , what would something like this cost, But just a regular 911hardtop , if I wanted to get one ?
Hi Bob - gavin@dutchmann.co.za
@bobclapper2672 hi
You mentioned the colour as Gordett green but i could not find a paint code, can you please confirm the colour and paint code.
Beautiful car.
Thx
Appears to me to be a proprietary one. I could be wrong.
@@user34274 You could well be right here as i found no mention of it but appears very similar to my Cooper S Emerald grey /BMW colour.
Hi Nick. This is a bespoke/proprietary colour I'm afraid.
@@Dutchmann_official .. None the less. .. Well chosen color. .. Gorgeous.
😅😂where's the matching suitcase set ???👍
Where can I buy a Dutchmann rebuilt Porsche?
Lo vendes!?!?!?
Show how the roof opens🙂
Paint codes by any chance ?
Air cool life 😎
Singer who? nevr heard of em
Should Put the single 1974 driver side mirrow instead of electric 🤔 😀 😅
Get rid of the rear wiper it ruins the car👎😥
Goodness me, no.
NO. ..To each his/her own.. Ordered my '98 911/993 C2S coupe with a rear wiper.. Okay, its been used 3 times in 25 years. .. Cheers
I’ll swap this car for a full £5.00 English pounds in cash! 🤣
Remove that bloody rear windshield wiper 😮😅 should have left it original mate 🙄
Rear wipers on P cars rule
Still a Targa ….not much love in the US
You'd know best.
except for those of us that have owned one for over 30+ years.

I don't like the chrome look.
