Join Center for Community Solutions for an introductory presentation on recognizing relationship violence and how to best support those impacted by it. After attending this presentation, attendees will be able to…
• Define relationship violence, including tactics of abuse;
• Identify warning signs and impacts of relationship violence;
• Support a survivor of relationship violence seeking help.
About the Speaker
Cleo Spencer is an anti-violence advocate and educator. As the Training Manager for the Center for Community Solutions, she manages a 65.5-hour Crisis Intervention Training program. She also trains staff, volunteers, and community partners on topics such as sexual violence, relationship violence, the empowerment model, trauma-informed care, and supporting LGBTQIA+ survivors. Cleo’s work is informed by her academic background in sociology and gender studies and her commitment to disrupting cycles of violence.
