Whew! I am not built for this. Maybe lack of patience or just how my brain works but I would never attempt this. I was exhausted watching lol You did an amazing job girl! 👏🏽
For one, you're beautiful hon! I've searched everywhere online to see how I'd want to do my microlocs + extensions since chopping off 18 inches of traditional locs. I was going to do braids but don't want the pattern showing for too long and found that Ley's methods were best for me. In her main method video in the car, she had on black and I couldn't see her extension process good enough 😅. Thank you for clarity. This is my 4-5th set of locs 🤔 Lol so when you referenced ppl telling you to "trust the process" it resonated. This is our chosen process. Will upload a video when complete - much appreciated! 💙♌️
Thank you🥰I’m so glad this resonated with you! I also looked everywhere on the Internet to find a loc method that worked good for me and this was one of the only ones that’s stuck. It’s time consuming for sure, but if you’d like to save a few thousand dollars it’s worth it 🤷🏾♀️p.s If you’re starting a fresh set, it will be easier to install them
Round of applause to you!!!! Im happy that you said happy so many times. It was fitting! It looks so good and you helped me learn how i can attach my extensions to an interloc. Im preparing to do this.
I love the way microlocs have evolved! I’m on my 9th set. Different extensions I tried and failed. So I applaud you for adding to the continuing methods. They came out beautiful. I’m combing my set out and starting yet again lol
@@LorealsLife 9th set wow! This is my second and I don’t think I want to ever comb out my hair, it’s just so time consuming. If anything I’d cut it off and start over if I ever wanted to. And thanks !
This is great to see! I love @Leylocs videos and tutorials. I haven’t seen anyone make extensions following her tutorial. You did a great job! Your explanations for how to attach the locs is phenomenal. Makes me want to make myself some extensions! 😁😵💫
Hello! I just came across your video and I think the method you’ve come up with is brilliant! I plan on interlocking my hair next month. I definitely plan to keep up with you for inspiration. Thank you for your video ❤
Tip- you can braid the bottom part if the loc and loose hair together. That will also keep them tightly intertwined. You can then interlock that braid to smooth the braid and give he lock a uniform look.
@@alisonmiller2708 I did this with a few,it works best if you have lots of loose hair. But for really small micro locs, it was difficult and led to bulkyness
The patience is REAL. Id have to pay someone to do this for me I literally cannot. Id probabaly pass out but cry first and then pass out Lol. Ive done my own loc extensions before but I knew I would take them out so I didn’t use this awesome method, I simply braided them in but I ONLY did my bang area which isn’t a lot of hair anyways since its the front of my hair . I was exhausted from that alone and it wasn’t even half my head💀.. like it was a tiny portion at the front lol. You absolutely did that! And you should definitely be HAPPY. I really really really want to extend my locs but I need someone to do it for me. Ain’t no way I could ever do this 😭😭. Kudos to you! It looks beautiful. Your journey is yours and I’m tied if people telling others what to do with their locs/hair for that matter! Do you! Okay I’m done lol.
Beautiful, been thinking about doing this for a long long time. I've been Locked for a year now. I wanted the length in the beginning now I'm glad I just let my own hair do it's thing...but I do wish I had more length lol.
I have been looking high and low for a video like this! I’m definitely gonnna order some hair and make me some interloc extensions ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for this vid! Your locs look great! I want to do this when my micro locs mature. Are they just as easy to maintain as your regular locs or have you had to add steps to your maintenance?
They are significantly longer than what they were before I installed them, so it is more maintenance. I’d also recommend that you do them before your locks fully mature so that it’s easier to blend the hair together
@@RiahLynne Thank you Sis ❤️❤️❤️ The hair I have is from Ali express and it is good for the crochet method but it doesn’t work when your try to interlock it. Funny enough i have some old Afro kinky bulk I bought from Temu and it interlocks well. Thank you sis ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for making this video. I was never able to figure out how to create micro loc extensions. I only know how to make slightly larger loc extensions using the crochet tool. I've noticed that locs made with the crochet tool can feel stiff and itchy. Do you find that your micro loc extensions are softer when using the loc tool?

@@mysticnj thank you! Not really. I had one in the back that I didn’t use the method I did toward the end of the video that almost came out early on but that’s it. I plan to go back to the first ones I did to make sure they are “updated”
@@RiahLynne okay! i’m going to put my micro braids in probably sometime in August. Do you think I could use this technique for hair That’s not mature yet? I was going to get the hair braided and use your technique.
@@mysticnj if your hair is not mature it’s even easier to instal! I wish I did that actually. Just add the human hair to your braids like you would with a regular braids and the hair will mature like normal locs over time. This way you don’t need to make any extensions or do anything extra like I had to
😢 I'm so lost with the stabbing crochet tools. The tiny pin and pulling it through it doesn't work on the braid hair. Help😣. Micro locs, interlocks and sister locs are all the same or different?!?! Please do a short video explaining the difference. When I loc my hair before it took 2 freaking years to loc.
I wish somebody would say that's not your hair after you did all that work! That's yours and it came out gorgeous
Thank you so much ❤️ ☺️
Because of your video I made 184 small locs. It took me a week to make and install. Thank you ❤❤
