For the gas pressure, 2 stage furnace, it says regular 3.8 WC and High 1.5 WC. So, for the low side, is it 3.8 WC and 1.5 WC for the high side? Or is it the opposite? Just to be clare on it.

WTF!! Skipped the most important part of setting the pressure. How to set the furnace to run at 1st and 2nd stage?

Is the testing port the same for both stages ?

Why wouldn't you set the gas pressure to the heat rise specification for the unit on each stage instead of a arbitrary gas water column value? Setting to the heat rise spec would be adjusted according to whatever duct work is supplying the unit.

How do you set the temperature rise on this particular model and how does the damper system/ zoning system affect the temperature rise ; especially if it was not designed by Amana?

You stated that you are in LOW fire, what tells you that you are in low fire other that assuming that it started in low fire mode

Hi, my low stage reads 3.8"wc. I've tried turning the adjustment screw to bring it down to around 1.7"wc. But turning the adjustment screw has no effects. Is it a bad gas gave then? Thanks

Make sure your turning the adjustment screw the right way. Clockwise- Lower. Counterclockwise- Higher.

You should alway start on second stage

Dan Matz why is that? I’m am not a pro, and I’m being compelled to replace my own heater because the local contractors are well over a month out and they want $4-5k to install. With sub zero temps time is of the matter.

Crank the Tstat up and wait 15 minutes or use a jumper

The way that I like to do it is use a jumper between R & W1 for first stage and then add a 2nd jumper between W1 & W2. Or if you're working on RTU's with a Jade controller you can turn on individual stages
