I love Keeley, she is my favourite character in the show and the biggest surprise in it. Her relationship with Roy Kent is so honest. Ted Lasso is a phenomenal show!!
Yeah she’s great. Friends with Ted and Rebecca. Such a beautiful spirit. She looks girlie and air headed but she’s not! My favourite thing is their relationship
@@tusaludoficial the problem was her allergic reaction it dried up her mouth etc. which led then to the bad breath. So after getting the anti-allergic it went better. Don't remember if a name was mentioned.
This scene makes me cry every time. Brilliant writing to re-frame his entire world by making him listen to what the child in his life thinks of him. Great performance on that little hint of a smile after she says she loves him because Roy NEVER smiles at this point in the show. The dynamic of Keeley getting Roy to open up and embrace his emotions like a real man and seeing that journey manifest is part of what makes this show so great.
Oh my god, I've watched this show 3 times and somehow never noticed Roy trying to hide a smile when he turns away after Phoebe says she loves him. Amazing.
Keeley exceeded my expectations. I expected some shallow groupie girl (I believe the British term is Chav?) but instead she was a legitimate comfort to Roy here
First off, I love Keely. Secondly, when Roy says, "Who gives a shit what a six year thinks", I lost it. 😁 The girl is in the ROOM and he still said it. Hysterical!!
When Roy says he loves the game and it's not just a game. It's all he's ever known, it's who he is. It's all he is. At least that's what he believes. I believe the vast majority of men feel this exact way. They see themselves as 1 or 2 dimensional characters and that they don't have any real "value". They discount themselves even if everyone else around them sees them completely different than they see themselves. This clip helps to illustrate that we all have more value than we realize or understand. Sometimes we need others to help us see the whole picture...and sometimes the big picture includes us, sometimes it doesn't.
This is a great clip - so many special little moments in such a short scene. I can't quite understand the name of the first band Phoebe mentions before Keeley says, "Wait until you hear Cream." Anyone know?
I loved their relationship, i was really bummed that they arbitrarily had roy break it off instead of showing us how both of them went about conducting an adult relationship and all its trickiness
The Season 3 finale will see Roy and Keeley married, having adopted Phoebe when her mum-the-doctor passes suddenly (Father wants no part of the situation.), with Roy being named manager of Richmond. Ted and Beard simply head back to the US.
Really dont see Phoebe's mum passing, Roy can still be the cool uncle. And i fell ted and beard have lives in the UK now, they'll probably stay for a while. I'm glad theres only going to be 3 seasons though, tight story telling till the end. Personally i didn't like the Rebecca Sam relationship, if that gets out its terrible publicity for the club.
I can see sassy passing and Rebecca adopting her god daughter. She sells the club to a billionaire who loves the club, and Ted and Beard both agree they want to go home mid way through the season when tHe side is winning with Roy taking over the next season
@@scottys2584 Interesting notions. But I can't see Ted and Beard quitting under any circumstances. And I doubt that Norah would 'let' Rebecca sell the club.
Don't know why everyone's so keen on killing off minor characters or even name-only characters, seems kinda unnecessary and doesn't add much to the show. I think the final series will mainly focus on the one-sided "rivalry" with Nate, and possibly his redemption and reintegration with Richmond. I also think that at the end of the season Roy will get a management role, either at another team (but leaving on good terms with Ted), or replacing Ted as Richmond's head coach.
It's a sweet scene but would have been funny if his niece said "he plays football" and said nothing else. It's a lot easier to teach life lessons when you write the entire narrative.
Keeley was funny but also kinda insensitive to roy by immediately undermining his feeling about what's going by saying basically "who cares, its a game". I guess writer just ignoring that though

My wife even said she thought she would be the annoying “token” hot girl. We were pleasantly surprised
It's great that the kid rolls her eyes even with them closed.
"Oh you ARE ready to talk about real stuff" omg. So good.
I love the way Roy looks away when she says she loves him.
I love the Roy, Keeley, Phoebe dynamic. The side stories and sub plots are great.
To imagine he was a writer, not an actor but he wrote the role that was perfect for himself.

Ted Lasso: because a streaming service is cheaper than therapy
I actually said this to my wife the other night as we were rewatching the series.
American?

How awkward would it have been if Phoebe had just been like "Uncle Roy is a footballer"
