A truly beautiful, extraordinarily talented, intelligent, and classy lady. She is a survivor and I'm so proud of her for both having stood up for herself and for speaking out!

Jane looks like she's aging gracefully and absolutely stunning. Too bad other Hollywood women don't take a page from Jane's book because her beauty surpasses all of them.

Cooking Lessons for Dad yeah, nearly 30 years after the event, which is not supported by the law, so no, that's cowardness, not bravery.

    • @CookingLessonsforDad

I meant at the time it happened. She did not give in to the man. Yes I am always suspicious when people bring things like that up many years later.

don´t be so insensitive. it takes ages to process abuse and to finally speak about it. she is very brave.

yes she is. your answer has nothing to do with her experience and it also lacks proof.

Cooking Lessons for Dad I actually didn't have a problem even if they did get distracted or run over to private room .I just shook off as just their nature like a dog liking his balls. Though Wish I could have conversation with them. but now they don't wanna anything to do with me they now call me out for touching them don't even talk or look at me and now they make me feel uncomfortable not sexual look more like an hateful growing dog kinda look they Wish in get hit by a train.

A great beauty who has lived well without plastic surgery.... so I buy what she is saying far more than a person wearing a plastic mask created by someone else, albeit a Dr.

    • @Amphitera
      @Amphitera 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Not convinced about natural, she looks very fresh and unwrinkled for 66, but she's definitely not going overboard like those flat-ironed plastic monsters Hollywood usually has- and she looks better than all of them.

I think it’s appalling, when they keep silent on naming the predator.
It enables the predators to keep assaulting victims.

If you name the predator and don't want to press charges against them you can be sued for defamation. You might not want to press charges because of shock, because it's your word against theirs or because suing someone is expensive and time consuming. Someone who has been through a traumatic experience might not be in the right headspace to do anything or tell anyone.

And people still wonder why victims kept quiet, their careers and their sustain could be destroyed by the powerful abusers. And society doesn't support the victims like Corey Feldman that spoke about it for years and was judged for it.

Not mentioning his name continues the polite mannerly madness females learn from day one and which perpetuates decades-long bad behavior of males. I'm sure there will be comments saying she's such a lady not to disclose his name. In my opinion, this is national mistake #1. These guys need to know there are no more dark corners and freebie cover-ups.
Jane Seymour is from a close-knit supportive family, mother and sisters. She also is very intuitive, trusts her intuition and she and her family had guidance and healing from Betty Shine, the late UK psychic medium and healer.

Women can be predators, too. It's just not as widely reported or as trendy of a topic as male bashing... This year alone, on two separate occasions, I was inappropriately touched by ugly old broads that invited themselves to paw me just because they thought I was too shy and polite to object. Boy were they wrong.

Strangely as a teenager at that time(1980)that movie taught me respect for relationships, not just being a boy. I guess art can reflect, belie, also shed light. A penny's worth

Philosopher Ruwen Ogien defended the freedom to offend as essential to artistic creation. In the same way, we defend a freedom to bother as indispensable to sexual freedom.
Today we are educated enough to understand that sexual impulses are, by nature, offensive and primitive - but we are also able to tell the difference between an awkward attempt to pick someone up and what constitutes a sexual assault.

That's how they get away with it. They threaten people and they're allowed to. Even the agent knew he was shady and probably shouldn't have sent her or warned her. So they kept doing it. May he rot

There are two possibilities. I know everyone else has googled it. One of the possibilities has a female sounding name but is a male. I suspect it may have been the person who did not get a credit for the film but I don't know.

The movie her son working on was s stolen script. Lots of bad people in the biz. The script promoter aquired it illegally. Sold it cheaply. Early 1994. "Numb".

I kinda, sorta understand why people do this and it’s even more than a power dynamic. It would be EXTREMELY difficult for me to be around gorgeous, charismatic women on a daily basis and not hit on them. No excuse whatsoever for harassment or worse. I’m glad I never had to find out.

She wasn't going to mention the POS name who sexually harassed her "out of respect?" Sheer idiocy. The man allegedly had a reputation for this behavior and Seymour wants to show him respect. The vermin deserves to be exposed and his reputation destroyed.

Where did she take a stand, she was harassed and then did what he told her to do. Shut up and not say it happened. Then goes back to her husband in England, spends a whole year not working and then comes back on the scene. Maybe there were younger women who didn't have a husband to go back to. She could have said something at the time to help women coming after her and helped them be saved from this harassment. She chose not to, i dont think that is anything to be proud of. A little more self serving. She had something to fall back on maybe other women didn't. Then she brags about getting the movie that defined her by the very person who harassed her. Why did she even want to work with this jerk. Sorry but her story isn't something to be proud about.

"but her story isn't something to be proud about" -- what victim of sexual assault is PROUD of it? And you just make it harder for people to be open when you shame the victim. I mean that is so tiresome.

Elizabeth, people in Hollywood knew what was going on, but it was kept quiet. If she would have said something, nothing would have happened. He had too much power. She did take a stand by not doing what he wanted and that took a lot of courage. She is not the bad person in this. She did what she could. She should be proud that after being treated that way, she was able to pick herself back up again.

If she legit felt uncomfortable with being sexually assaulted she could've easily have reported it from day 1 besides aint nobody had a gun 2 her head 2 make her stay quiet about it she chose 2 stay quiet on her own so there4 shes not a victim & there should b nothing 4 her 2 say now since she choose 2 stay quiet about it & now she should live with her decision on staying quiet & take responsibility 4 her own actions thats all
