Cooking chicken in the Big Boss oil-less Fryer!

  • This is a healthy way to cook chicken seamlessly and effortlessly! I have not used my Big Boss oil-less Fryer in quite some times but I forget how simple it is to use. I simply brined or marinated some chicken overnight or for 24 plus hours, and then I added it to the fryer and then cooked it.

    Thank you! I like to try my own recipes and the recipe book with this wasn't really what I wanted to try. So I did crab rangoon and sweet potato fries in my Big Boss, and I'm about to put my first chicken in it! This helped!

      How do you like the air fryer?

    • @uwsupergirl
      @uwsupergirl 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikelowry7730 I'm still getting used to it. The disadvantage is that glass bowl is very heavy as is the lid, and hard to manage and the other disadvantage is when you take off the lid to flip food or rearrange, there is no easy way to set this lid down-and it's HOT on the underneath I assume anyway, so I didn't want to set it on the counter. I have been using the extension ring-I set that next to it and try to place the lid on that. I put my first chicken on the tall rack and sorta scorched it-it was chicken thighs and it was too close to the top. I will just keep looking at tutorials here and finding ways of using it. I don't think I will go back to the oil fryer as I prefer cleaning this to the deep fryer even though it's heavy. I am going to try a whole chicken in it next!

    When you remove the top is it safe to place the hot lid on your counter?

      @tracywhitaker4372  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lid gets hot so you might want to place it on a towel or a stack of paper towels

    What was the liquid you used in your marinade?

    • @tracywhitaker4372
      @tracywhitaker4372  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2-3 tablespoon full of salt, 1TBS dill weed, 1 TBS red pepper flakes, 1 TBS garlic powder, 1 TBS onion powder. Place chicken in one gallon bag or equivalent to how much chicken you are making and fill the rest with water and let marinate for 6 - 24 hours. Sometimes I will use 1-2 TBS of apple cider vinegar and lemon juice but I did not in this recipe. I also used 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder too.

      I never have even noticed it getting hot in my kitchen. Of course you can feel the heat around the glass container but it doesn't heat up my kitchen.
