tbh I do the same thing, though I started out doing QABEs before my friend clued me into the optimal card order pre-MC, so for me it's like a return to form
The thing about using Himiko as a DPS is that once you stack her own skills, Hero Creation, and Eternal Mirror Epitomizing the Stars, an anchor Buster Crit from her is upwards of 200k by itself so I don't really miss having a BBB or a damaging NP😅
Fun Fact: Himiko might actually be the person that inspired our currently known version of Amaterasu, although that is hard to say definitely, she has enough similarities and connections that we can't discard this possibility
It should be mentioned that Himiko's 1st skill gives the 8 stars per turn buff to EVERY Servant on your frontline. If you have 3 Servants out, you get 24 stars per turn for 3 turns. I didn't realize that until I got my own Himiko last year. If you run double Himiko, that's 48 stars per turn. You basically auto-crit for 3 turns, and for a crit focused Servant like Himiko, that's a lot of damage.
It should be noted that, post upgrade, the Reines immortal team is the slowest yet most consistent version of said setup since Reines is a far more defensive character capable of eliminating defensive class disadvantage. So if you're stuck in a fight and willing to slog through an 80 turn fight, it'll be less volatile than Morgan or Himiko setups.
It depends. Clearing the fight in fewer turns inherently means less volatility. Additionally, removing the defensive class disadvantage only matters if one's defenses are down and/or you're setting up the immortal comp.
I think Himiko is the best version of the immortal team. Everything from the constant stars to her being a ruler just yielded best results for me from playtesting all the versions of all the immortal teams.
@@ChaoticVice777 true, but in a general sense, Reines is the slowest but safest since her post buff np buffs np gain, she has a teamwide defensive option, targetable invul and party charge. Himiko is the middle ground with massive Buster crits, a tanky main dps and higher overcharge. And Morgan is the fastest, since she has an actual offensive np, but is also the one that’s prone to exploding since Morgan herself is a Berserker (though she does have a guts)
@blurb9319 It's just strange to bring up defensive class disadvantage when the immortal comps were designed around not taking much, if any, damage in the first place. The other perks are certainly relevant, but safety doesn't necessarily mean consistency (and vice versa).
I sacked a himiko and thought "wonder what fino has to say about her". I was thoroughly bamboozled when I didn't find a review of her but atleast I also got a story time out of it.
"Shitbox supreme Jekyl and Hyde... Provided you can keep this idiot alive". Man you had me rolling on the floor laughing at this! Oh yeah speaking of the history lesson... There was a Himiko's Garden in Ghost of Tsushima where you can decorate it to your liking. Also I got her when I visited that place in-game lol
8:20 The clams thing is really just as simple as it looks. Japan is an island, and early Japanese people couldn't consist solely off of farmed crops like rice, so seafood was a huge thing. A ton of excavated Yayoi period settlements we've found have a literal shit-load of shells inside the areas understood to be their trash/toilets, meaning they ate a ton of shellfish.
Indeed. Merlin is great by default since that NP of his rocks big time once it stacks once or twice, to be sure, but Tamamo's CD Reduction and burst healing/NP charge is particular nice with Himiko set-ups since you pretty much want everyone's skills up at all times and you're taking much less chip damage with the extra layer of shields you got.
Tama/Castoria/Friend Himiko was my go-to immortal setup before I got my own Himiko in a GSSR, and now that I can tag in a Friend Merlin instead I don't feel like it's a huge upgrade at all. I'm glad for Merlin's ability to 'roid up Himiko's buster crits, but I miss Tama's CD redux and timely charge drains.
True. Aside from Merlin's invul on demand, he and Tamamo fill similar niches as "boosters", being able to constantly fuel a team to keep blasting away with full power once they get the ball rolling. How they differ though is largely how they fuel a team. Merlin is an engine that allows for consistent output giving passive NP charge and stars allowing for you to always be building up towards the big burst damage turn no matter what cards you pick for combat. Tamamo meanwhile is an accelerator, allowing you to turn what would be a 5 turn setup into a 3 turn setup instead. I think in this case, it largely comes down to personal preference. With Tamamo, you will need to sacrifice potential damage turns in order to keep arts chains going to keep fueling the NP cycle spam. With Merlin, his passive charge means you can focus more on Himiko/Morgan buster crit turns, though they will be slightly more spaced apart due to no CD reduction.
I already had a Himiko but during this event I got two more copies of Himiko just from a single group of Summoning Tickets alone. That makes her my only SSR Ruler at NP level 3 and the second SSR with NP 3 I've gotten since I summoned three copies of Scheherazade in a single roll back when she first dropped.
The GSSR...stumbled me into NP2 Himiko so I'm good on this banner. But yeah, she's a fun character. Can get a bit crazy with things if you put the right group together.
I actually prefer Himiko's immortal team over Morgan's, because I can easily get that sweet 500% OC on both Merlin and Castoria with her. Then its just a matter of her fisting the target to death.
Yep. As they tell us in the story, it's the old english word for Ash tree and funny enough, it's pronounced identically to Ash. Once I found that out, I've been waiting for Aesc in some pokemon cosplay.
Many of Japanese historian approaches ancient history in guesses cause their Nihonshoki the book written in 8th century not accurate but that was not the purpose like the Old testament(postulate writting for ideological purpose), fabricate beginning history to show Japan or 'the principle of sun' found since 6th century B.C. however from Tang sources, Book of Sui Japan island known as 'Fuso' had no horse or no wall( nothing much of civilization). I can't tell if Fino's muscle memory forces him to do mighty chains in NA or if he's preping for when it's released
Neither; he's trying to show the various animations
I'm definitely the latter

I do them in NA prepping. It's also kinda cool.

As my first fight against Kiara in S.E.R.A.P.H was with Mash, Jeanne and Merlin since I had nothing else to beat her with I’ll manage somehow.

Thanks to Kamfrye for lending me his Himiko on JP.
bruh go farm more bond so you get your Himiko!!!!!! you still have time!
you know he said JP right

Cavewoman Buster punch crits is peak gameplay.
Great gameplay, great looks, and an even greater personality. What's not to like about Himiko?

You are my favourite FGOtuber. I love the history segment that comes with describing the units.

Very happy for the continued history lessons.
Imagine being Volun-told to join her to the afterlife..... real bummer for the grunts that followed her.
Tamamo I believe is a severely underrated option when it comes to the immortal team

Also honorable mention for We Have Merlin At Home, aka Miyu.

buster buff and stars are just too relevant. There's also the weird competition between both of them for who gets to be last on the NP chain as well.
Hump day is harsh for nobbu.
Fino, I love you, but if you jumpscare me one more goddamn time with your Castoria background I'm going to personally burn all of your catalysts.

She's really fun in Grail Fronts. She's tough to kill and also slaps (literally) as a soloist, so she can do a lot of work in that mode.
If we had more than like 15 grail front nodes in a year it could be cool to use her there 💀
Ok, hear me out. Morgan, Himiko, Castoria with a backup Koyan light
I don't think overcharge buffs stack so you'd have to be quite careful about NP chains
@@blurb9319 they do

I think the clamps are for fertilising the earth as shown in doctor stone.
I thought it was just a story thing because she's portrayed as a clamoholic.
Aesc is pronounced Ashc? Good to know.
Yep. As they tell us in the story, it's the old english word for Ash tree and funny enough, it's pronounced identically to Ash. Once I found that out, I've been waiting for Aesc in some pokemon cosplay.

Everytime i look up Himiko, I end up with seeing BNHA Himiko always
As someone who has Merlin and castoria I just need MORGANA or Himiko interesting
you can just borrow one, dw
Just use the sup list,
Morgan can 6-slot farm with castoria and a looper so she is decent to summon.
Himiko there is 0 gameplay reason to do so.
CQ only servant 💀
