Hi Dave, I've seen lots of older videos on this job but yours is the best by far. AND..........It WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks from Staten Island, New York...
Great video, have been through this exact procedure recently on my "new" A1, the tools must be Japanese Industry Standard, JIS for short as you advise in the video, subbed
Hello Sir. It is one of those very pleasing quick fixes that put a smile on my face each time I hear the camera come to life again. That's the name "JIS" I was trying to think of it and thank you for giving us all the correct name. Wishing you well. Doing the Yashica 124G cleaning video and replacing the focus screen video very soon, after I have fixed the felt on my shed roof lol.
@@thephotographersbag ouch. I "repurchased" mine recently of which my bank manager / wife was not to happy lol. Video very soon once I fix the shed felt roof 🙂

@@davecarrera Hi, looking forward to your next video, sold a mint 124G many years ago, big mistake and the prices nowadays !

@@davecarrera Hi, yup I guess that I have to bite the bullet and splash out on another one, just my luck that prices will drop afterwards, take care,
Guys do NOT do that as this is only for short time and if you do this it will make the camera worse !
not in my and many others' experiences. But everyone has a choice to do it or not. Me, I'm fine with it.
@@davecarrera long run you will damage your camera.
Exclu ! Squirting oil blindly is just stupid . I have seen many camera ruined with too much oil on the focusing glass or the shutter curtain
