Keep It simple!!😆😎 i scored a complete locking diff for My 5.1 at My lokal breaker last week,
Luck me i was able to pick all vacum Lines, valves relay switch and harvested as Mutch connectors and harness as possible needed to recreate the oem set up together with vag-com and proper coding and cut and splice some cables😆 My «simpel» solution would be to maually switch operate the vaccum control valves, maybe together
    With «disable” ESP connection.

Hey there. Great job. Did it require new drive shaft on locker side? Ie and length difference?

Hi sorry I didn't see this comment. Nup the shaft is the same one as before the swap. No difference in length :)

    What an ingenious solution!
Would you be able to share any information on what would be required to fully integrate as if it was OEM? Are the changes limited to the haldex/rear diff or are more changes needed to get the vacuum system?

There is a fair bit of other items you need. There is a vacuum system that goes from the engine to the diff to operate the diff lock.
There is also the wiring to the switch and to the vacuum system.
It is possible that you may have to link it in to the ecu as well not sure about that.
If you had a wrecked vehicle to remove it all from you may be able to do it.

      Hi Jemery
      Oh wow that's crazy $$$$
I will find out for you, I think he just searched all wreckers in Australia till he found one. I think his came from Tassie.

Hi again little uppdate on My sudden swap 14 days ago ,(due to the fact i needed a working 4motion «now») I did the swap in 2houers assisted by Jr on my topmost lift. Drove of and felt the overwhelming joy of 4Motion on my slippery steep driveway 😇
Fiddeling diff lock controls prospond to “later”
Until Saturday pulled onto the main road pulling 1ton trailer
Got well onto 3’gear(no power pull) suddenly rear diff exploded😳 split case open!!
Was barly able to limp 300m to exit almost full lock up for each turn of the wheel.
      Just switched back diff tonight
So autopsy hopefully will be performed within a week or so
      “Easy come easy go” 😎Bent
