Thank you for mentioning Jenna Malone's comment on their makeup not being makeup. Girl. That scene just before the ball with Jane and Lizzy in the mirror together? I can SEE the pale shimmer eyeshadow
Yea.. that sounded crazy! A movie with no base at all? And beets are great for a lip stain but would look bruise-like on most light skin tones. Could be pretty on some tan and rich tones but would be tricky AF to get the right application and blend!
Would you consider doing a tutorial on blush and contour placement on soft features? Modern blush placement looks bizarre on me - like a harsh line on otherwise round features. Your blush always looks so beautiful!
This look is the definition of pretty. I love it so much. I also love mascara so much. Even if I do no other makeup, mascara and lip gloss are a must. They make all the difference.
I love love LOVE how you framed "it detracts from my overall beauty" rather than "need to cover this up" I love my freckles and my scattering of dark spots on my cheek, they certainly contribute to my overall beauty ❤
I do not have the restraint required to do this kind of look. I start trying to, I really do. I want to. But I... am an unstoppable and incorrogable bowerbird at heart and I WILL put the shiny sparkly glittery shimmeries on my face or eyeballs or both if I'm wearing makeup. I just can't help myself. I need it. also I when you said "match your mascara to your hair" I went "uhhhhhhh mine is blue and green I dont think that's what you intended here" and then apparently it was. if i didnt change my hair so often I would invest in coloured mascara for exactly that.
I believe Jena, but mostly for herself: I think it's great to highlight how young and immature Lydia, Kitty, and Mary are meant to be next to their put-together, matured elder sisters. Kiera and Rosamund absolutely wore face! Fae Hammond can claim up and down there was no makeup, but what a film MUA considers face vs the rest of us is vastly different. Jena says in the same interview there was "coverups" and "brows", and lash curling. A dot of concealer under the eyes, around the nose, beetroot rouge, a dust of taupe eyeshadow, dyed eyelashes getting curled...that's a face of makeup. Unusual for cinema, but not for real life. And if you're as beautiful as Kiera or Rosamund, that's all you need to look incredible!
"I'm not that strong!" 😂😂 I just found your channel and I'm truly amazed by your skill in describing colors and technique. Well done 👏You look like you stepped out of an Emily Bronte novel
after recently watching the illusionist, i so badly wanted a tutorial on jessica biel’s makeup look bc it was so beautiful and this perfectly encapsulates it!!! i think this will always stay a classic look and for good reason ❤
This makes me feel better ab natural makeup! I can't achieve the look when tutorials use almost no product on already beautiful faces. You're beautiful, you actually use makeup, and it looks like make-up and like no-makeup at the same time! Magic :) will be recreating this
Truly, the algorithm came through for me when it suggested your channel. I think I've never seen any one makeup tutorial I liked more than this one right here --thank you for putting it together!
Tbh this fan noise along with your soft voice calms me down😂 White noise relaxation effect without effort so kudos for this ❤ I’m gonna definitely try this makeup since I still have troubles with correct blush placement 😅
well i DO follow the color seasons and as a winter... bless you for this rec, with all my heart! (i have been having a real struggle finding cool-toned blushes recently)
I really love the way you do your makeup. You are one of my favorite person to watch for tutorials because you do the exact style of makeup I want to achieve. Also, the way you describe things is fantastic; I love it. Please keep making more tutorials; they inspire and bring me happiness.
I’m legit so happy to have found your channel! I’ve always had a hard time with most makeup tutorials online cuz most of the ones I find have people with a very different face shape to me. I’ve pretty much been completely altering the way I do makeup to better suit my face and you have been the most helpful person out there!!!! Not to mention your makeup style is already the kind of makeup I wanna do, so I don’t have to alter too much when I’m following one of your tutorials! Thank you so so much for providing content for those of us with rounder and softer features 💫🥀🌻🌱🫶
I followed your tutorial but I used more rosy mauve tones to suit my olive complexion better. Definitely got the period like quality but in a more sultry and sensual kind of vibes.
I am also an Australian girlie 'suriving' during Australian summer season, so I totally understand the need for the fan. I kinda like the sound of it, its very white background noise. Paired with your calm voice its almost giving asmr.
I saw this video and immediately had to try this look. I have a very similar round, soft face and this blush placement made me feel exquisite. I've been placing my blush high on my cheekbones and blending it out into the temples and it has always felt not quite right. This feels like me. Thank you for this and thank you for also reigniting my love of forehead blush. 💖
I really aspire one day to be able to do this makeup but I am not there yet. I feel like my face isn't very "romantic" but this video has inspired me. Thank you! Would love your take on like a silent movie star ala Greta Garbo look.
I standby to that the younger sisters didn't have real makeup on, but Lizzie and Jane definitely did that lady had a smoky eye in that rain don't play with me lol also, what shade was that fwee pot bc I didnt know they had red for some reason I only have the nudes
*Me sitting in a ibrary reading a romance book waiting for my prince to come* I don't just want anyone O want the one...the one that would literally fight for my attention 😅
I don’t want to sound dumb as hell but I’ve watched you for the longest time and only just realised you’re Australian, I thought you were American 😅 you’re makeup is heavenly
Love this video. You are talented. I always wanted to see a look like this. I am obsessed with Caitriona Balfe look in season 1 of Outlander. Would you be able to recreate that look.
I know you like the lower blush placement but I really think contour placement on the cheekbone looks better. You look beautiful but it really drags the face down.
Oh, I really like your tattoo. I had been wanting a coloured floral one like that for months, but when I went to a tattoo parlour, the artist told me coloured ones would fade far too quickly. I don’t want bright and saturated,. Yours to me is perfect. Was it always like that or did it fade into this pretty one?
Would you recommend the same or a different blush for the blush used on elle fanning as Catherine in The Great? You know that cold, frost bitten kind of colour on pale skin?
i followed this tutorial and i look GORGEOUS!! 🧎🏻♀️ (You are so good explaining it, i love your comments, the one about the Chemise got me nodding saying "periodt.") 😌👐🏻✨ Please keep making videos for a long time, i really enjoyed it!! (im having trouble with the blush placement, but two days and i'll make it work!) ✨🤍
"we're living a fantasy, i'm in a CHEMISE" is SO important to me
Yes 100% ❤❤❤

Great point!!!! I changed the way I apply my blush placement recently- trying to match her placement ..... way more complimentary to my face shape!!!!
@ She is so talented! I am learning so much from her 🩷
Yes, please!,
i feel my face is overwhelmed by most modern looks, i like this type of makeup
"- in a nonthreatening way" HA
Such a beautiful beautiful makeup look!
This look is the definition of pretty. I love it so much. I also love mascara so much. Even if I do no other makeup, mascara and lip gloss are a must. They make all the difference.
Totally agree! Mascara is essential.
これ…最近見たメイクで一番好き!!!最高に上品で最高!!かわいい🩷

The renaissance blush placement is something that is my new favourite! It’s timeless

You’re so kind!
Your features are just gorgeously suited to this look 💕

It is such a timeless look!
I love period romances so much! Can't wait to wear this look

This so perfectly encapsulates the concept of main character makeup and it's such a stunning look ❤

My granddaughter has coloring like you. I recently used some foundation over my cream blush to not overdo. Turned out great. Love your look.
I'm so glad that worked for you! It's wonderful to hear it turned out beautifully.
gorgeous! as always 🫶
I really aspire one day to be able to do this makeup but I am not there yet. I feel like my face isn't very "romantic" but this video has inspired me. Thank you! Would love your take on like a silent movie star ala Greta Garbo look.
You have such an alluring voice!! And this makeup is so perfect for my Jane Austen fantasies
1:48 One of the best advertisements for color correction I've ever seen! They should sponsor you for this!
I standby to that the younger sisters didn't have real makeup on, but Lizzie and Jane definitely did that lady had a smoky eye in that rain don't play with me lol also, what shade was that fwee pot bc I didnt know they had red for some reason I only have the nudes

That’s so wonderful to hear, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
I think I just realized that I do my makeup like a period heroine. 🤔
You look amazing! Love this look❤
Love this! So similar to Elizabeth’s look in The Empress ❤
I could listen to you forever, queen
Can u show us your skin care routine??? Ur skin is soo glossy and looks always perfect with foundation ✨
*Me sitting in a ibrary reading a romance book waiting for my prince to come* I don't just want anyone O want the one...the one that would literally fight for my attention 😅
GIRL YES! I have this on loop to study how to do it on myself 😂😂 could you also list the brushes you used too?:)
Beautiful!❤
This is a makeup aesthetic I always gravitate towards! Love this!
But I need to ask, how did you get Rhode beauty in Aus? 😯
I don’t want to sound dumb as hell but I’ve watched you for the longest time and only just realised you’re Australian, I thought you were American 😅 you’re makeup is heavenly

I am digging your channel. We have similar tastes in makeup techniques in our videos ❤
Voice is very to listen to.❤
I know you like the lower blush placement but I really think contour placement on the cheekbone looks better. You look beautiful but it really drags the face down.
I jumped when you said Bronte hahahaha😭
1:05 IKR like im so sure she wears brown eyeshadow pls
Love this. Subbed!
Thank you for subscribing!

1:30 what is this brush though
What shade is the contour stick? X
Would you recommend the same or a different blush for the blush used on elle fanning as Catherine in The Great? You know that cold, frost bitten kind of colour on pale skin?
Could you specify which shade of the Saem corrector you're using here? It must be 01 or 03, but I can't quite get it through the video.
How is the wear on the gel foundation for dry skin? Does it accentuate pores and does it enchance wrinkles? Thanks!
Does anyone know the eyeliner she used on her waterline 😭
i followed this tutorial and i look GORGEOUS!! 🧎🏻♀️ (You are so good explaining it, i love your comments, the one about the Chemise got me nodding saying "periodt.") 😌👐🏻✨
Please keep making videos for a long time, i really enjoyed it!!
