    Decent review, thumbs up but regarding the battery life: I wouldn't say two weeks. I use mine 2 times a day for about 3,5 minute each session with bluetooth disabled and after 4-5 days I already really need to charge it. This was kinda disappointing for me personally but so be it.

    Can you please make a video about charger and brush head compatibility across the io change

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We have a video on the iO heads, which I think you have seen already. The heads for the iO range fit all the iO brush handles.
      The chargers are as follows:
      The iO3. 4, 5 & 6 use the standard Oral-B charging stand like any of their other electric toothbrushes.
      The iO7, 8 & 9 use a magnetic charging stand that works with these models only and is not compatible with any other Oral-B electric toothbrush.
      The iO10 has an iO Sense enabled charging stand. It is similar to the charger for the iO7, 8 & 9, but with more features. It comes only with the iO10, but technically the iO7, 8 & 9 models will work with it, albeit you can't, at the moment, buy it separately. The iO10 will work on the magnetic charger that comes with the 7, 8 & 9 too, but you loose the benefit of the iO Sense technology which is part of the reason for buying the iO10.

      Oral-B don't disclose how many movements the brush heads/bristles make on the iO models.

    I am a big fan of Oral B toothbrushes. Battery has held up well over the years except for the Series 7. I have had two of them and bought them at the large price for the fast charging. Both have failed within a year. When they have failed they will show charge to 100% but then drain to 0 in a matter of 30 seconds while brushing. Odd that both have done this. I brush everyday at least twice a day for two minutes each. Cost too much for this to happen. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOOTHBRUSH!!! I have a IO Series 6 that is still working and works very well and bought it way before the Series 7.

      Hey thanks for sharing your experience. It certainly doesn't sound great. Have you contacted Oral-B about the battery issues? In theory they should repair or replace at the brush is usually covered by a 2 year warranty.

      Both clean your teeth well. Unless you need the faster charging of the iO7 or particularly want a screen in the handle, save the money and buy the iO5.

    Which one do you think is more valuable? io7 or genius 9000?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They both clean the teeth comparably. The iO7 is the nicer brush to use, but the replacement brush heads for the Genius 9000 are half the price of those for the iO7.
      So I prefer the iO7, but the Genius 9000 is much more affordable.

    I’m considering between io7 and io6 or io5. Can you advise about battery lasting time on those brushes. Will the battery on io7 last longer than io6 or even io5?

    • @tracynguyen367
      @tracynguyen367 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m from Vietnam and most probably won’t be able to use the oral b app. So connectivity to phone isn’t what I need.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From my testing, I have found the iO5 will give a few more days use than the iO7 on average because the iO5 doesn't have the power drain of the screen.
      However, if you mean which battery will last longer over years of repeated use, I can't say I am afraid. I don't have any data. In theory, they should be comparable.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think this is showing it is on charge. I am not sure what exactly it is. The light ring at the top of the brush handle should pulse as it charges.

      Hmm this doesn't sound quite right.
      You could try resetting it, if it allows you.
      Reset procedure:
      Lift the handle or press the power button button to wake it.
      Press the mode button, beneath the display multiple times until you see the settings icon Press the power button. Then press the mode button again multiple times until you see the ‘Factory Reset’ option.
      Press the power button.
      You’ll be asked if you are sure. Press the power button again to confirm the reset.
      If that doesn't work or you can't get any response. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. The screen should power off and pressing the buttons won't do anything. Then place it on the charging stand for a few seconds. Then take it off and it should now power on.
      I can't say it will solve your issues, but worth a try before speaking to Oral-B.

    Hey, what's the difference between io 7 and io 7g ?

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's usually the box contents. It depends on your location. In the USA the iO7g comes with a travel pouch and a brush head refill holder. But the 7 comes with a plastic travel case, but no brush head refill holder.

    • @souvikb1812
      @souvikb1812 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ElectricTeeth Thanks for the reply. It is in USA. I was just concerned if there was something different with the features of the device.(I think I read somewhere that 7g has more vibrations along with rotation while the 7 only has the oscillation) I'm not that concerned about the accessories.

    Only problem is product registration requires a "promo code" to complete but says its inside the box ... Didn't say serial code, or product code .. mandatory "promo code" to get the warrant I just want to return it over this nonsense.
