I feel an accurate account that closely matches my experience with MM. I am now on 1st relapse after 22 months of monitoring. I take Velcade and dexamethazone weekly which buoys me up for 3 day, leaves me fatigued on the 4th and a recovery...to the next weekly treatment. I am only 2 weeks into this cycle, the 1st seemed more harsh as it went, but then also contained cyclophosphamide which is not part of this cycle. Some stomach upset from dex, now some bowel upset, restless nights, energy with dex, fatigued as it goes.
Thank you Daniel for your information. Yesterday, I was told that I might have MGUS or Multiple Myeloma. I'm trying to find more about them. Your comment was helpful.
I was diagnosed 5 years ago with MM and have had 4 lines of treatment, including a Stem cell transplant , the clip gave a fairly accurate description of the process of some treatment. The main problem with me is terrible bone pain via ribs, spine etc, which the MM will attack each time the MM is active. Which is the case at the moment , making me feel so miserable .
