    My mom died from Multiple Myeloma when I was 17. 3 years later it still hurts me more than anything. I miss her more than anything in this world. I can’t even begin to describe how much I hate this disease. She was the most beautiful person I’ll ever know. Thank you for this video, and thank you for helping me to understand this disease. It was hard knowing there was nothing I could do to help her. Man it hurts thinking back. Thanks again for the video man.

      My mum died two weeks ago of multiple myeloma. I understand how you feel. Am still grieving because in her last days, she was helpless. I had never seen my mum in such a helpless state! And like you, there was nothing much I could do. It was very painful.

    Watching this because my mom was just diagnosed. She seems to have a positive but strange prognosis where she's still stage 1, has not developed bone lesions, and her organs are still functioning as expected, but over 70% of her plasma cells are abnormal. She also doesn't seem to have some of the more high risk mutations. The doctors seem positive she will live for many more years but I'm terrified. I know very few people want to lose their mom, but god I really can't imagine losing her as young as she is. I'm trying really hard to stay positive for her but honestly, fuck cancer.

    I've recently come across your channel. I graduated veterinary faculty and I'm studying medicine and still working as a vet. Your videos are extremely helpful and one of the best of this kind on youtube. It's a pleasure to watch them and they're full of new information. i hope you'll carry on with internal medicine videos. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the clear explanation. I have just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma this week so I am still processing the details of my condition and potential prognosis. I have a large growth on my skull 💀 which has been the 1st indication of the disease, which has not yet been determined by Stage yet. I am to have a biopsy this week so I will find out more after that.
    We shall see 👀 how it goes...🙏

    Constant low hemoglobin is an early sign. If your hemoglobin is well below 14. Mine is from 9.8 to 10.2. My doctor is taking this very overly lightly and has become constantly unconcerned being more preoccupied with COVID! I'M REALLY PISSED!!!

    Greetings all. I am currently in the MGUS Phase. I had a cleat pet scan back in December, but I've been having consistent pain in my back and legs recently. I'm wondering has anyone had the experience of being diagnosed with smoldering MM or MM without any evidence of lesions. As always, any input or insight is greatly appreciated. Be blessed and well. Thank you!

    • @LaMasHermosaRosa
      @LaMasHermosaRosa 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In 2016 I was diagnosed with MGUS, I was told not to worry about it. I now have SM. I have had 3 petscans, and a few bone biopsies, supposedly (according to my oncologist) there is no sign of lesions. My maternal aunts died from MM, my mother was diagnosed in March with MM. Kaiser healthcare couldn’t think of testing her before when she came in with anemia and other related symptoms. At diagnosis her kidney was abnormal, it is ok now. I have successfully brought up her red blood count through foods that are rich in iron. I am her 24/7 caregiver.
      I suspect hair dye and pesticides to be the cause leading to MM. Don’t let vanity be the reason you subject yourself to MM, it’s incurable, with some luck you may control it.
