Now throw your hands in the air
And wave 'em like you just don't care
And if you like fish and grits and all that pimp shit
Everybody let me hear you say, "O-Yea-yer"
Now throw your hands in the air
And wave 'em like you just don't care
And if you like fish and grits and all that pimp shit
Everybody let me hear you say, "O-Yea-yer"

ATLiens is the most slept on album of all time. And Big Boi needs his flowers, people always hype up Andre but let's not forget Sir Lucious Left Foot
Big Boi's solo albums go hard
The 6 million views on this one video from the album tell me that it's not really slept on.
Andre300 is a beast though
OutKast is so good because they play so well off of each other
No one down South slept on this. That was NY…. Folks don’t listen to the lyrics. Just heard the country was and said “naw” I’ve heard knowledge dropped from North east west south England Norway Africa ect.

For sure!!! Love this song.
The way Andre raps this lyric is...perfect
"Softly as if I played piano in the dark
Found a way to channel my anger now to embark"
Yeah it’s smooth as fuck
Lol I literally came across this comment as that part of the song played
& you can see that in your mind while he says it
It’s literally genius how does one come up with that
This Atliens and Aquenimi are two of the greatest albums ever assembled. Both in my top 5 all time.
This sound futuristic Outkast was ahead of there time. It sounds like something that should be played now. Hip Hop has regress in 2023.
No it doesn’t 😂 it’s 100% a 90/2000 vibe. What sounds like this today?
@@Katiee0592actually “Katie” ik ur goofball ass can’t comprehend what he meant, but theres a reason that what he said has truth its because its their way of rapping uses the rule of triplets which since outkast after 2010 every single rapper started using basically they can ride the beat using triplets and now 90% of rappers do that now so yes many modern rappers can ride this beat and BigBoi and André can ride new beats because they created the sound you speak of and this was the 90’s they created that sound before them everyone who was popular the people that booed them in 95 the people that rejected their sound because this technique and anything that was southern rap was not accepted because the scene at the time all sounded like copy pastes of Pac and BIG they literally switched up the flow imagine pac trying to rap on a beat like this with the same cadence as OutKast “I ain’t killa but don’t push me revend is like the sweetest joy next to gettin p-yy” don’t sound like anything OutKast showed the world, the production was also done by Outkast themselves allowing them to innovate production in hiphop giving the beat that neofuturistic 2000’s feel that everyone copied in the 2000’s because of OutKast’s impact in the late 90’s
@ you sound dumb asf 😂 the triplet flow was prevalent in the 90s homie. Bring the noise was produced almost an entire decade before this song in 88. Bone Thugs n Harmony and Three 6 are considered pioneers of the triplet flow. It’s a 90s flow thru and thru. It wasn’t futuristic and you’d know that if you were a true hip-hop fan. Go run your mouth to someone who doesn’t know their shit, they might be dumb enough to believe what you’re saying is accurate 🤣🤣
@@MATEZz_edickriding like crazy fucking hell
@@MATEZz_e dog you have no idea what you’re talking about. Bring the noise came out in 86. It was the first song to use the triplet flow. A whole decade before Atliens came out. Three 6 and Bone Thugs n Harmony are considered the pioneers of the triplet flow because they produced multiple hit records with it. Neither one of them were the first to use that style of rap. It’s still a 90s rap style that was used by many rappers in the 90s. It wasn’t futuristic. It was a sound of the time that was under appreciated. Southern rap was subpar compared to northeast rappers. They weren’t “rejected” because of their rap style, they just weren’t as good as NY rappers or even west coast rappers. The WHOLE sound was what the people wanted. Not just good lyrics and solid flows. OutKast didn’t deliver in those metrics. Period.
And to claim this song which not only has a COMPLETE sound of the 90s was futuristic simply because it used the triplet flow is reaching. You and everyone else might think that because you don’t know hip-hop as well as I do, but anyone that does knows you’re talking out your a$$. You aren’t teaching me anything homie. Very few people know hip-hop as well as I do. I know your clown a&$ doesn’t with the bs you’re saying in this comment 😂😂
I remember in the 90s this was the sound of the future.
so ahead of their time. you can still listen to this album today and its still just as relevant... the shit they were on was light years ahead of everyone else.
northCALIFA Even the album artwork was futuristic! This album had an ethereal, otherwordly vibe to it, not to mention this video...no wonder Tupac wanted to work with them.
So true man...
@Nani Wattz absolutely spot on... "so go get your fucking shine box"
Yeah that’s actually what they said it was sound of the future on bet
big boi underrated..bars for days

@Mavenger1845 Yeah but not lyrically. Just because of Tik Tok and social media trends. Everyone wants to twerk to or repost with the next hottest mumble rap song.
Thr entire ATLiens album is one of the greatest accomplishments in music history.
Was 19 when it came out, 44 now, still a daily listen.
One of my friends from high school turned me onto Outkast in the mid 90s, and I've loved this song/album ever since.
Absolutely 💯 and I am 44 now😂
Probably the best hip hop video of the 90s.
Outkast probably has the best catalog for a hip hop group in history. Every album was classic or near a classic.
Honestly, this is a great representation of two very different artists allowing each other to grow just as that. Artist. Completely different flow and perspectives. Yet collaboration is not hindered.
🫡🫡🫡if only this was the kind of hiphop we listen today
Just like an average human life… outkast had all emotions- happiness, sadness, fear, anxiousness, goofyness, etc.. now all rap songs just care about being the person with biggest clout and money and sex life
@@adityarajeshwakade8279 There is so much good shit still coming out, it's just not limited by labels the way it was in this era. Shut your ass up if you think you know what's going on today, it's just coming out in greater quantities and is more spread out to find. Truth is, you got lazy and just listen to what you know like every washed out grown up that stopped looking

It changed. Back in the day it was all about lyrics. Today it's not. Even Andre changed as he got older. It went from straight lyrics to hooks.
ok we all know andre a legend but why is big boi being slept on
Kwani A.L Big Boi is a legend in my mind. He got mad flow

One of the Best group rap song of all time! Old school rap rules! Who agrees?
It's real easy to be an Andrea 3000 fan. Truth be told, Big Boi was the consistency, the glue that held it all together!
I thought i was the only one that noticed that. He kept the ball rolling when Dre went on to do movies.

That second verse Andre spits is some of the realest bars I have ever heard.
Andre's verse is so deep. If you pass on a victimhood mentality your children automatically begin life in a disadvantageous position. Parents choose your words wisely.
No lie. That was my dad, I don't have it anymore but that shit set the fuck back man.
Which is also why I think critical race theory is a danger to the children.
