I've had 2 of these cars, they are brilliant for the money. So much kit, fun to drive, good looking, reliable, and that 7 year warranty.

I've got one of these, omg. It puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it. Soooo much value and fun for so little. I sold a Porsche Cayenne S and bought this and this is definitely much more fun to drive on windy country roads. My wife's Audi Q5 is dull to drive and use in comparison to this car. If you're thinking of buying one of these, don't think, just buy it. Heated steering wheel and front passenger seats, folding mirrors, beam level adjustment etc. It's just amazing value.

I have 2019 Picanto GT-line T-GDI tuned to 140 bhp as my daily driver and I also have a Porsche Cayman 981 for the weekends. The 981 sounds better off course, but both cars put a big smile on my face while driving, and the Picanto is also surprisingly practical and luxureus. Two of the most underrated fun cars to own and drive, in my opinion.

I had one of these on hire when my Fiesta got written off in an accident. It was a great little car, loads of kit like heated seats, apple car play, cruise control. It was also surprisingly nippy around town. On the motorway in bad weather it was a tad unnerving against giant wagons but it got me from A to B safely and in a timely fashion. My other half was a little crestfallen when I picked the 140bhp Ford Fiesta Zetec S as my new car instead of getting one of these. Great review as always :)

Superb review with the most accurate information I have every heard on YT, We have 2 of these exact models and a 19 plate version on the drive. Love them. I came from a 19 reg fiesta ST and still love this Kia which feels more realistically fun to drive without the front wheel scrabble and torque steer of the ST. You nailed the real life fun and feel of this car from ur limited time in it to my everyday self comment while i drive to work,,, i love my little car. Kids, little stars by the way. Great review, i have one of these on a 70 plate as my daily and they are great looking cracking little cars, i do 60 miles a day in mine and it's great fun! The gearing is quite long legged and the engine loves to be revved.....50mph is easily achievable in 2nd gear. Fuel consumption has always averaged at 42mpg in my ownership, though the petrol tank is a little small at 35 litres. But overall they are great, and the heated steering wheel in the winter months is awesome!

I didn't know these existed; as a commuter car, these look fabulous, and sounds very much like a member of a category that I thought was long dead; the Warm Hatch; the '05 Fiesta ST, Twingo 133, Fabia VRS etc; cars that have enough poke to have a bit of fun with, but are still cheap, practical little cars.
Was this the first official lend of a car from a manufacturer? I seem to remember Kia were big supporters of JayEm in his early days as well, so props to Kia for doing the same.

My daughter bought a new Picanto GTlineS in 2020 and after 4 years she still loves it. Its the same colour (Titanium silver) but has proper twin exhausts at the back and came with a panoramic sunroof as standard. Obviously as the models progress your getting less for your money, no sunroof and no turbo engine. She only paid &13500 brand new in 2020. When I told her they've done away with the turbo engine she said she wouldn't have another, a loss for Kia.

Nevetheless it's got everything, even a fantastic sun-roof. Our garage is tiny, so we needed something tiny. And this is the perfect solution for having much fun with a very tiny car. Super sad, that the 1.0 Turbo is discontinued - but makes ours even more special.

Got a 2018 Picanto, and also a 1 year old with a massive car seat, fits no problem, same as the big fancy stroller my wife bought. It also was cheap enough that i paid it in 2 years.
So yeah there are better cars out there? Sure. For the price though? The options become narrow
Only thing i dislike about the car is that i got the 1 trim so it has the naturally aspirated engine qith 66BHP. I would have preferred the turbo one. On the bright side, it's good enough for the motorway and It'll do 70-80 mph no problem

I've just traded an 18 plate GT Line S, for a brand new '23 plate, as the depreciation wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. On the old one, i had a Bluespark tuning box, taking the HP from 99 to 130+ and 0-60 in under 8 seconds. The 23 model can be mapped to around 143hp, which I'll be doing once I've bedded the engine in 👍

I bought a 2020 Picanto 1.0 GT with 17k miles for under £10k in the summer, great little car very economical but I would never pay £17,500 for one new, I love the car its a commuter car but its not worth 17.5 sorry have to be honest, it Euro 6 and ULEZ compliant that's as good as it gets for me. its a nippy fun car but it no rocket ship the noise at speeds over 70mph can get a bit irritating after a while so I keep the speed down, Previous car was a 2013 Yaris 1.3 and that was a great little car too went up to 140,000 miles all trouble free but expensive servicing, so the budget Kia was a no brainer. Buy a low mileage used Picanto with balance of warranty and you will be set, I am led to believe these depreciate fast so no point paying new prices. to date done 3200 miles in it and only issues are the overly firm seats I am 6'1 I find the seat bottom a bit short for my legs so I have a little cushion I put under my right leg as it does not support me enough, paint chips easy on the leading edge of the bonnet but its a commuter car so it going to get battle scars. My 15 year old son keeps moaning at me to clean it on the outside as it gets very dirty being white, I give him £10 a month to give it a once over he does a good job.
