Thanks for the informative video IBR. I've been looking at some cooler weather gloves and had not considered the handguard options on the bike. The test you did with riding with fingerless gloves is a really good comparison to how well they do. 👊👍
My buddy has a set of those on his road glide & he swears that they come in handy when traveling on the highway. To block wind & anything else that may hit his hand.
I was very skeptical at first, but after seeing the difference Im pretty happy with them. It definitely is a simpler mod than heated grips or heated gloves.
Thank you for the great review, details and presentation. I am looking into hand guards for riding this Autumn, Ive got Mini Beach Bars on a Road King and my hands are outside of the windshields protective area. My hands freeze riding in cold weather, but not for much longer, Thanks again
👍🏻 Nice way to check the effectiveness. I got another brand for my Road King. They too are great quality. They are nicely finished black painted aluminum and quite a bit cheaper. I did not try them like you did. I did not notice my 2 hands being any warmer at the fingers so I took them off. Keep up the good work bro.
This is how all product tests should be done. "I'm MotoJawn and I'm going to test out this tire. On my sportster I have one tire, and the other I have no tire. Let's see how it goes!"
Just ordered some for my RKS, but I'm in the UK. I have a theory that they will work better the smaller your hands & I have small hands, so I'm hoping that'll mean I'll get more benefit from them. Will find out when the eventually arrive from the US
Solid video and review. I already bought and installed these on my 21 Roadking Special, and glad I did. I would say maybe top 60% more coverage thatn without, which aint bad at all. I've had the cheaper "amazon" coffin style, and these work so much better. Looking forward to the colder riding months and long rides.
I'm in AZ and I've ridden 200+ miles in 120 degree weather more than once. Handguards are also great in the worst parts of summer. Not all of my bikes have them, and of course I'm usually on a bike without them when needed. You know those days when you soak your helmet and clothes every chance that you get?
@@RoadReality lol you're the one that shows the location and name of the places on your vlog! I only show the scenery, which could be anywhere in md lol
Thanks a lot Dave. It’s on my list for long term upgrades. The two things holding me back are costs, and also lowered fuel mileage. It sounds so good with a cam upgrade tho
@@IronBornRider Got a streetbob 2021 put a ss475 nice lope but the bike ran Like crap even after a dyno had to keep the revs up all the time city riding was painful so decided to go with a se447 torque cam way better smoother and city riding not a problem fuel consumption not bad just some advice for make sure u do ur research cheers
They work, however, they aren’t magical. They have limitations. I put some on and rode this winter. On the interstate once temp drop to mid 30’s my fingertips were burning. Even in my thickest winter gloves. But I’m sure my hands would have been even worse without them. Solid buy!! These + heated grips I feel you can cut your glove thickness in half.
Agree these alone won’t do the trick. I also wear heated gloves and those two combined will get me about an hour of riding before my hands feel the cold.
oooo dbaaaa....love it paps...very nice...ride safe always and all set on you...hope you can drop by too at my humble garage...power on for more awesome vlogs
Hand Guards is perfect for cold places and highway riding.🤙🏼💪🏼💯
Agreed! Thanks Antonio!
Finally a video about these handguards that talk about blocking wind, which is the reason we all buy them lol. Thanks for that
Glad it was helpful!
Genius way of testing it out man! I might pick these up just for winter time and take back off in the summer if the install is that simple. Well done!
Thanks chop! The next time you test out a riding shirt, split it in half and test it out with just the half on 😂
I bought a set back in "20 for my FXDB streetbob... Still to this day I'm happy that I invested in them.
Safe travels 🙏❣️
💪🇦🇺💪
Thanks Matthew! Ride safe!
Great info and great video as always! I appreciate the percentages with regards to wind reduction.
Thanks Jon, appreciate you. Thanks for watching!
Man, I’ve been holding off on buying these because I was worried about the value. Again, another great video with great content man.
I was in the same boat. But I’m glad I did because It actually works pretty well.

Appreciate that Tetronious! I've been shying away from these hand guards but they're going to come in real handy in the winter!

They definitely help in the winter , and keep bugs and rocks from
Hitting your hands
Good point about the debris! Thanks Andrew!
Great video man! I was on the fence about them myself, but now I’m sold! 👊🏼
Totally worth it, and only $80!
I've been thinking of picking these up since putting 14" bars on my bike. They look good. Cool way to test them out. 😎
I highly recommend them, thanks!
Good review man!! Also a good idea using only one at a time! Best way to tell!!
Thanks kg!
Just bought em, I've been thinking about it, this tipped the scales. Thanks man
salute!
Quality editing as always. Nice one bro
Thanks man. Appreciate that.
You’ll feel more of a difference in the extreme cold. Great video.
I can't wait to test it out in colder temps. Thank you BB!
I'd like to see how they do in the rain.
I think these might be a good add to my Road King Special. Thanks for sharing this info.👊👍

@@IronBornRider I didn't test them like you did or consciously before and after. My hands still felt cold after installing mine.
Interesting comparison for these. Seen plenty of vids on them but I don't think anyone compared one side with and one with out. 👍

Excellent review and commentary. Now that you’ve had them a while, what’s your final verdict?
Worth every penny. Definitely keeps your hands a little warmer and also protects from any small rocks that may fly up

brilliant idea doing an A&B test! Now get some off road knobbly tires and test the LRS in the woods!

How are they holding up so far? Still worth it? My hands be freezing riding hwy so I'm hoping these help

I think 50% of my concern is wind blowing up my sleeve, which I suspect the Shades might slightly help
I think the shades will help with that
Looks nice! Kind of makes me want to get a lowrider s just for short rides....
Would love to see a low rider s on your channel my man! 😂
@@IronBornRider That’s funny! You will see one either in January, July, or December. It’s a fully built 128” Lowrider S 150HP 150TQ! Haha 😂

If you ride cold they are Great for supporting Hippo Hands. Then you’re gold.
Just found out about hippo hands. I’m gonna have to give them a serious look
I've always wondered why companies don't make the hand guards aluminum instead of plastic ....
Probably to save costs

Thanks for the review Jason, $80.00 isn't terrible, but I think I'll pass. I kinda don't like how they look, especially on a cruiser.
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the looks either. But right now, I have to go with comfort vs looks cuz...its getting cold lol.
