Thanks for the helpful video!! I've personally settled on an online (Obsidian) place to jot down reflections, learning, feelings, etc, in the hopes that I'll synthesize//connect/revisit more easily. But your video reminds me of the creative and spontaneity of having something more visual as well :) I also love the idea of going back and having "conversations with yourself"
This was the vid I just needed... Been contemplating physical 'commonplace' notebook vs. your Notion video haha, now I'll be using both (I'm messy); also, just subbed to your website, love the recent blog posts!!!
Very inspiring, thank you! Rik
Nice video as always Charlotte, for me I prefer using a physical place book instead of an online one, because to use I should use my phone or or laptop where there is lot of distractions. but only problem with physical one is I can't read my handwriting after a while 🙈
Haha yes reading your old notes is always a struggle 🧐
Thanks for the reminder about keeping a common place book. I have done this sporadically over the past ten years or so, but I know that for this practice to be truly helpful, I need to do it consistently, as your experience demonstrates. Thanks, again! I enjoy your videos.
You are so welcome!
this is so helpful! I am an herbalist and ALWAYS studying my craft. Been trying to figure out how to take better notes on my process, and the tips you shared are super inspiring.
Did I find the best TH-cam channel ever?! Thanks for all these cool and very informative videos Charlotte!!
If these journals are collections of thoughts, observations, to-do lists, lab records, etc. then how do you find what you wrote previously when you need to refer to it?
Hey Charlotte, how you doing? Hope you doing great.
I asked last time what undergraduate would be best for a future try in PhD on CN. You recommended machine learning or AI course. I am having two options here, I can do Electrical engineering or Data Science, what one of these two you think would be the best? Please.
How do you combine your digital knowledge with your analog common place books?
Any tips in maintaining the book such that you can easily find things back? I enjoy writing on an actual book but it's hard to find stuffs...
Yes, usually the stuff I want to find back easily I write in notion or I transfer it from my notes to notion :)
i love cheap Nootbook and Simple NootBooks and the Values inside it what is Matters ! 😀 Charlotteeeee Netherlands Queen.

Hi Charlotte! Amazing Content and very informative. I am a Video editor and couldn't help but notice that you can improve a lot in terms of visual appeal of your channel. I can do a 1 minute edit of your video and send it to you and see if you are interested.
Sure that sounds great! If you want to get in contact I have an email in the description box that you can send it to :)
@@CharlotteFraza Great I will work on it. And send it to you on your email.
It's just a journal.
