I happened to share the same garage at Snetterton with this guy when he was testing the said R1...Bloody nice bloke and a bloody great bike:)....But I'm sure he did say my R6 5eb track bike was a better machine,or was I dreaming that ahahahahaahaha

In some ways perhaps, but the essence of what that (fictional) bike was about, was the technical knowledge and craftsmanship of one man, building his own grand prix racer in his shed, and then getting to run it against established bikes and winning. It was a re-telling, in the two wheel world, of the story of Jack Brabham. Now the R1-M is many things, but the handiwork of one skilled craftsman, it's not. But I still want one...
How tall are you , what inseam do you measure, how dose it fit you? Im about 170 cm with an inseam of about 30 hate to be short. Greetings from Sweden.
So you're saying the r1 is decent for the road? That's the first time I've heard that. I really want to go yamaha for my graduation present to myself but I think I might have to go with the s1000rr since I only ride on the streets.
You should try a track day, you cant anywhere near fully exploit the handling and power of these bikes on the road. I converted an RR for the track last year and havent had as much fun since I went to a swingers party and got blown off by 3 real cuties! I've just finished converting a 2015 R1M and waiting for the winter to clear and the track season to start is like a kid waiting for Christmas! There's a whole load of fun to be had on tracks, go grab some before your life passes you by....

Grand review but the wheels are identical to the base model (cast magnesium) and the brake calipers are Advics not KYB.
Can u do a video on how the ohlins R1M adjust suspension, on braking, mid corner and exit and bumps (?) and contrasts it to the Ducati Skyhook
