This song leaves me speechless. The brutality, the mood/tempo changes, the riffs, but most importantly, the lyrics, and how they hit a person in such a personal way they never realized could be possible.
Gojira is like the cherry on the cake, but there is a ton of great modern music. Leprous, Riverside, Volbeat, Devin Townsend, Ghost, Halestorm (just to name a few) have been doing great lately.

I had the pleasure to see Gojira live back in 2008 in Milan. It was the first time Gojira played in Italy and it has been such an amazing set. They kicked everybody asses in there, they're really heavy and the other bands that played that night after Gojira were annihilated by the strenght of their music, indeed.
you may have not noticed, but music is merely many different layers of soundwaves, all vibrating together in cosmic harmony. Everything is music, be it hitting a book with a carrot, playing a 30 hour guitar solo or using synthetic sounds generated by computers. EVERYTHING is music. It's INSTRUMENTS by the way.
I went to see them together earlier this year, April, out here in Oregon! A reunion of theirs and both bands talked about loving each other from that tour
In my opinion, these guys are the very very best in the world.. They are so clean and so spot-on aswell as theyre improvising alot. The best and the heaviest band in the universe!
I love Gojira, and the new album is great. The production is even better than The Way of All Flesh, and there's just as much face-punching groove and heaviness as before. The lyrics video does kinda highlight the fact that English isn't their first language though...
