Appreciate your take on these. I pre-ordered the set for a huge office fan and have been putting together my take on Andy and Erin. Definitely need them for additional depth. BTW…I know he played the banjo but there was a time or two he busted out the guitar too. And since the banjo is a new piece, the guitar is a good and affordable choice for now!
The face I think is absolutely perfect for Andy is Ray Stantz from Ghostbusters, it looks exactly like him. If you wanna see what it could look like I've posted it on my instagram
For me, I don’t have that Xialing/Nymphadora/Carter headpiece so imma use the face that Pam has (I’m personally going to change her head) and in my opinion, the Dr. Raymond head from Ghostbusters works for Andy because it has his very cheeky smile that he has. (But the head chosen is REALLY good for Andy still.)
I think they should have included these two and not have put Kelly and Toby since they are in the annex and if this set is successful they should release the annex with Toby and Kelly
Great video, I like this style. I'm currently making customs from Community and I plan to do some for parks and rec, and Brookton 99. It's nice to hear your thought process around making customs. And I think the simple style makes it easier with the pieces I have
They look great! I think that the Susan Bones/Pepper Potts hairpiece would also work well for Erin’s earlier appearances(although it is a little too light). Your torso choice is perfect though. I also think that the Jim/Ryan torso(it’s the same print) would work great for Andy as well
Great work. You've really captured their essence, especially Andy. I'd still love to see a custom minifig designer produce these figures (there's one in the UK that did a few Home Alone minifigs, that weren't part of the original 2021 set), potentially with new prints, at least for the torso, but you've still done a great job. The khakis on Andy are an especially great touch, as is the smug smile. The only thing I might be inclined to add/change is for him to have a torso with an obnoxious bowtie (which differentiates him from everyone else), but I don't know how easily available those torsos are (I might look at a custom minifig torso company). Anyway, great stuff.
I do plan on adding characters...but the real, proper ones, that LEGO should have put in a The Office set instead of the American knock-offs, namely David Brent, Tim, Gareth, Dawn, Jennifer, Ricky, Finchy, Neil, Rachel and Anne.
Holly you should definitely make Holly from the later seasons of the office

Looks great, the only thing I would change is Andy’s face print to the one used for Ray Stantz. Other wise i think these are top notch!

I think personally that the ray stantz head from Lego ghostbusters is the ideal print! And also the banjo from the muppets cmf Kermit

Andy looks great, but I would use the new banjo piece with the Kermit the frog minifig instead of the guitar.

They should have put pams desk by jim like in the later series. Andys desk was there in the awt but no andy. Really annoying. And same for erin.
Lego offially stated they didn't include Andy in the set because he was in Anger Management at the time for punching a hole in the wall.

I would use Ross's suit torso from the Friends set for Andy, I think the colours match his more iconic beige suit outfit more.

Good call. Ed Helms gives off some Dan Aykroyd vibes. I could see Aykroyd playing Andy if the show had been made in the 1980s.

I don't really understand the complaints on no leg printing. Best case you'd get some pockets and maybe a belt.
It does make the minifigs more distinct and personalised, which a lot of us appreciate.
