      Thanks Jeff. Machine turned out great. I am trying to convince the owner to add a few more accessories so I can make some more videos.

    What an informative series. Thanks very much! The engineering that goes into these machines never ceases to amaze.

    Used a 90 deg drill attachment for the rivets on the boards. Worked slicker than snake snot.
    Actually had to completely loosen the expansion chamber (600R ETEC) on the exhaust to drill out those 1/4" holes for the bumper gaurd supports.
    What a contortionist trick to get the springs back on. The set at the muffler were ok, but wowsers, the manifold to the expansion chamber was brutal.

    • @DougsMessyGarage
      @DougsMessyGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ouch, yeah the two-stroke expansion chamber would certainly make back drilling this hole quite a bit more challenging.

      @@DougsMessyGarage I completely forgot, had to take the bolts out of the radiator and shift it upwards in order to spin the expansion chamber to get the drill in place. Just in case you ever run into an install on a 2 stroke. Cheers man.

    Those rivets are a pain. I found it easiest to take my small dremel with cut disc and cut them off flush from the bottom. It was 10 times cleaner and faster than drilling them. Great videos! Thanks

    Very informative and helpful. Ill be doing the same tomorrow, so thanks! Is this bumper strong enough to grab onto when pulling the machine when stuck in the snow (by hand only)?

    • @DougsMessyGarage
      @DougsMessyGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With the bumper attaching solidly to the base front bumper, the cast aluminum front suspension cradle and the front of the running boards, it is very stout. We haven't needed to use it to pull the machine out of deep snow yet but I have no reservations about doing so.

    Is it the same kind of installation with the kit for a 16’’ Expedition Sport 2019 ?

    • @DougsMessyGarage
      @DougsMessyGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure if the '19 Sport was a Rev-XU or a Gen IV. If it's a Gen IV then it should be very similar. If it is a Rev XU, it will be different. I know my 2019 SWT is a Rev-XU but the Sport went to the Gen IV a year or two before the LE and SWT did so you could have either.

    Any chance you're going to do a video on the tunnel protector?

    • @DougsMessyGarage
      @DougsMessyGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, the owner of the sled did the tunnel protector on his own and I didn't get to record it. The Gen 4 tunnel protector is pretty simple to do though. I believe it fits into hangers at the front and has two bolts to hold it up in place at the back. Much simpler than the XU chassis was to install.
