- The video is a driving tour of Downtown Hamilton and its vicinity. Hamilton is a city in the province of Ontario in Canada. It is located in the western end of Lake Ontario. The city was named after George Hamilton, who laid out the original town back in 1815. Hamilton is one of the oldest cities in Ontario. Visitors can see the beautiful architecture of the area’s heritage buildings, museums and the city’s many landmarks. The Village BIA serves as the commercial hub in downtown Hamilton. This tour is filmed in the downtown area of Hamilton !!!

Not only that, their architecture is lot more interesting than Toronto. Shame it’s not really that family friendly. I just wouldn’t raise my family there.
It is, very much. Which makes it more of a shame that it feels and looks so grim. Even Edmonton looks happier.
So true. There are 6 Canadian cities that should be larger and more significant based on location but haven't yet lived up to it; Windsor, Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Kingston, Moncton, Halifax.
I grew up in Hamiltom for 35 years. i love/hate the city. Mostley love.

Beautiful video. During the 2003 World Road Cycling many of the European cyclists were amazed at the beauty of Hamilton with all the trees in the city centre.
At James and Main, on the south east corner, there is a plaque that reads: "On this site was established in March 1878 by Hugh Cossart Baker the first telephone exchange in the British Empire".
