Thanks for this video, Jen. Looking forward to your next installment on the Mosquito build for beginners. I am not a beginner but I've learned A LOT from your videos. Thanks for improving my hobby.
I didn't realise you were at the Model World Live show, I'd have popped over and said hi if I had! We had the same experience on our stand, lots of interest from the public and lots of questions which was different to the usual model shows. I also picked up a pair of discounted Godhand Ultimate Nippers 5.0, they are nice for those fine parts in 1/72.
Good Video - Re good nipper features you should be looking at adjustment mechanisms that keeps the blades from hitting each other too hard. It is usually a small screw that are part of a nipper head.
I use a set of cheapo Excel cutters to detach parts from thick sprue and a set of Meng MTS-022 nippers for any fine work. I do have a set of the top tier Godhands (SPN-120, the ones that come with their own little nappy) which work beautifully, but are so delicate that I rarely use them. I much prefer the Meng to be honest, a lot cheaper and a lot more useful.
I managed to drop my Dspiae nippers breaking the tip of one blade but filed the other down to match so they are shorter but still usable. However i decided to treat myself to the newly imported more expensive Godhand pair but to be honest I think the Dspiae still cut better.
Hi Jen. I was nights and I couldn’t get the time off (short staffed).😔I work on the railway, have since ‘86 and I’m a huge English Electric and Class 37 fan; I’d have loved to have seen 37108 (D6808) again. Had that beast a few times for haulage on passenger trains, and I worked her as a guard on the North Camp tanks (Nr Reading) once, back in ‘86-‘87, poss ‘88? All my logs are lost. I remember, because I only dropped on three 37s on that diagram: 108, 132 and 225 (it normally dropped a Class 33 or 47). She looks amazing, what a job they’ve done!🤘🏻😎 (Plenty of 37s on my YT channel.) Anyway, back on track. Sorry… 🙄😅
I have found it difficult to get "non-synthetic" brushes ! I use enamels and white spirit and find that after a few months the synthetic bristles get "split ends" and end up with a furry look ! anyone else noticing this ?
Lovely to hear the energy back in your voice Jen. Looking forward to the next Mossie episode.

Given how much we all use. Nippers the god hands are the best

Similar but I use a Xuron for sprue cuts and the Dispaie knips to tidy up the gate to the actual model.
A Going To Town Rig build in the works?😁😁😁
