Nosferatu is my favourite for 2024, although I’m glad to have seen your list as I get to see some other, lesser known films. Daddio is one I’ll definitely give a shot
Here's some of my favorite movies of the year that you haven't seen. I'm a big martial arts movies fan, and the three films I think everybody needs to see regardless of if they like the genre are 100 Yards, Life After Fighting, and The Shadow Strays. Three movies with vastly different sensibilities and approaches to violence, but all incredible in their own way. I'm very sad that Memoir of a Snail is the only animated movie on here when Flow: a somber dialogue-less experience following a cat and its band of animal misfits surviving an apocalyptic flood, and Mars Express: a brilliant little sci-fi story about consciousness, class, and progress that Detroit: Become Human wishes it was, were right there. Some super underrated micro-budget movies include Frankie Freako: a cute little comedy about crazy puppets that help you let loose a little. The People's Joker: a film that I think will stand with I Saw The TV Glow as a foundational piece of trans art, as well as a rebellion against copyright. The Coffee Table: one of the most disturbing and brutal movies you'll ever watch, yet somehow still technically a comedy. And Milk & Serial: a tight 60 minute found footage character study thriller that's completely free to watch on TH-cam and features probably my favorite performance of the year. Lastly, my #1 favorite movie of the year is Hundreds of Beavers, and you not loving that movie is much weirder than anybody else not loving Trap.
